What Yoda told me this morning

Posted by Jim H. [4489.8183] on September 12, 2009 at 11:18:30:

Our heads are overpopulated, Walt.  We find it overcrowded because
we move in and try to live there.  Our minds and thoughts exist to
help us get lunch on our journey, but we end up using our mental
equipment for trip planning when we are not really "going"
anywhere.  But moving things around is our preoccupation.
Accomplishment and progress are the icons upon our altar. We
chase “enlightenment” up into our brain, or read it from a Book. We
rationalize SR and assign it a purpose and a goal, and we feed it
lights, sounds and electronic gadgetry, or candles, gongs and chants
in the same way we feed our body vitamins. We apply scientific
methods to determine the nature of bodily fluids and brain waves so
we can apply various forms of manipulation to recreate an ideal.
And why not? It can't hurt...like chicken soup, and it is good standup
routine material for healer comedians. There are plenty of butt holes
in Theta to satirize.

So we ride trains of thought on oval tracks in theme parks of our
own design, looking for the pencil behind our ear so we can draw
destiny maps to carry around with us so we will know when we get
wherever it is we think are going.  Such busy maze work, and aren't
we proud.  In the meantime, it is best we invite love and humor to
our table, and leave room for pain and misery too, because they
always seem to show up uninvited anyway.   Better to set a good
table than sit in a lotus position at a mock bus stop.

Hi Jim,

Yes! I totally agree with what you say.

I recommend kitties (or other pets) for getting out of the brain and away from the electronic gizmos. The purring sound vibrates at the same frequency as love. :o) They are so soft and gentle -- being around them just pulls my energy back into my heart.

Best wishes,
Jan

SR or relaxing doesn't have to be work. Like most things that are good for you, they are simple and easy to do. If you can find the Alpha Zone just sitting with a good friend, who needs all the equipment.

"The purring sound vibrates at the same frequency as love."

I like that Jan!

Hi Marian,

That's what has been told by David R. Hawkins, MD who is a popular spiritual teacher. He calibrated vibrations of many things and this is what he says about cats' purring: the same vibration as love. It's mentioned in his books.

Best wishes,
Jan

I once had two kittens who used to wrapped themselves around my
head in bed at night...like having earphones...binaural purring. We
definitely had love in our hearts. I named my rescue cat Alpha.

Parody aside, Steve has it about right.

I didn't know love had a vibration. Now there are several different kinds of love. Love for a friend or family. Love for a pet. Love for a mate. Do they all have the same or different vibes?

Hi Steve,

I haven't studied David Hawkin's books (just looked through one or two of them), but my guess is love is love is love. Same vibration, some forms are perhaps stronger in degree than others.

Similar to the FOF question we someone asked us the other day. Same thing, different degree.

Best wishes,
Jan
