uti

Posted by soz on May 19, 2003 at 03:29:39:

Hi since March i've had problems with my bladder. I've posted messages before but since i don't live in th US im sill waiting to see the urologist. Im worried now because i have a bad urineary tract infection which i've had now for 3 weeks. I've been on trimethoprim, chephalexin and im now on co amoxiclav but it's still not working. The last time my GP did a dipstick test the urine showed nitrates, blood and protein. Im worried that its damaged my kidney's now as im also getting bad pain in my sides and my back. I wanted to know is blood in urine a sign of kidney damage? or is it normal with uti's? i also wanted to know what is the best natural way of getting rid of infections?

thank you for your help

I was on six different antibiotics for SEVEN straight months and it still did not kill the infection. One natural product that really helped with the UTI was called Mannose. If you do a search on the internet, you will find it. It's an excellent supplement.

Hi, Soz.

Are you male of female? It makes a BIG difference!

Where are you--In DEEPEST AFRICA? This has gone on much too long for your long term health.

Listen to Susan in Florida.

You need at least an IVP and a voiding cystourethrogram.

im female and 5 mins after i posted this message i managed to get an apointment that day to see the urologist + he thinks my bladder muscles aren't working. But i have to wait to have video urodynamics done which there is a 6 month waiting list and to have an ultrasound scan done there is a 3 month waiting list.
I live in London and have the bad luck of living in an area where the NHS is in a very bad state but i can't afford to go privately.
Thanx for your help
Soz

I boiled up cayenne pepper in salt water and drank it a
little at a time and with cranberry juice and cured either
a UTI or IC in 3 days. Not sure which it was since the
bacteria test strips didn't show bacteria but they were old.

Thanks, Soz.

Up to now it sounds more and more like IC doesn't it? While you are waiting you can cure your IC by going to the IC archives.

Let us know how you do.
