Posted by louise on May 06, 2001 at 16:53:22:

hi, i wondered if anybody could tell me anything about upj obstruction. My son has been diagnosed with it recently. He is 4 years old and started to pass blood in his urine. Can you tell me is it heredetary? how serious is it? the doctors are discussing plyeplasty surgery if he has any more bouts of blood. He never had any previous kidney problems and he doesnt have any pain. Any information you can give would be great. Thanks

Hi, Louise.

It is the moral and ethical responsibility of the surgeons to explain this to you to YOUR satisfaction and not just to THEIRS. One of the reasons doctors make so much money is that they are supposed to do this. When they do not they are actually stealing. The word "doctor" means "teacher".

Surgery, as soon as the diagnosis is made, is the correct approach and is where conventional medicine shines.

Let us know how he does.

Walt
