Protein leak from kidneys

Recently the doctor did some tests and told me that my kidneys are leaking protein. This was detected through protein tests which said I had a high protein level in my urine. He has not explained to me what this means. I am very worried could you please explain.

Hi, Graham.

This CAN be congenital--and thus inconsequential. However there are many very serious conditions that are first picked up with this asymptomatic finding and you need to have the fact that it is NOT serious proven.
