I just got out of the hospital after spending the most excrutiating 36 hours of my life "passing" a kidney stone. If it weren't for the Morphine-the Demerol and the rest of the pain kilers they gave me, I would have found it quite preferable to jump off the roof of the building. I still have trouble understanding how something as big as a period (.) could cause so much pain, but if there's any of it left after the lab analyzes it I'm gonna cristen it GODZILLA!!!
Is it possible that kidney stones on a 3 year old girl gives her a high fever or that's not posible. Her urine results came back yesterday with red blood cells on her urine and also white, but no bacteria or infection. She did had a UTI 3 to 4 weeks ago but then it was clear. Couple of days after her first infecction after taken al her medication she began with symptoms like the ones on UTI but two urine cultures come negative showing red and white blood cells her fever just dissapear at the 4th day of it , and now she is doing fine. Her pediatrician gave her a referral to a Nefrologist for next week but in the meantime I will like to find more about this thing that's going on.

Dear Madeline,
Seeing the Nephrologist is your next step. At this age the possibility of a congenital structural problem is pretty high & she needs at least a cystoscopy and an IVP (intravenous pyelogram).
Let us know what is found & I may be able to suggest other things you could do to help her.
Walt
