Dear Dr,
Having suffered from a maltracking patella for around two years and controlling it through exercises and stretching i have suddenly developed problems at the back of my knee. Whenever i push up on a step i feel it around the tendon mainly on the inside back of the knee. it is a very sharp pain which tends to reduce as the day goes on. Also I am a very keen cyclist and when i start it is very painfull on every revelution but it gradually subsides as i ride.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi, Graeme.
Possibly an early sign of a developing Baker's Cyst. Your mal-tracking patella would make you be a prime suspect for developing such a thing.
Besides your presently successful approach to that condition, what have you done about eliminating the bracing that is always associated with both of these conditions?
