Hyaluronic Acid vs Gluc. & Chond.

I am currently taking Glucosamine and Chondroyten and after hearing a radio story on HA am thinking of switching to HA. Does HA contain both Gluc and Chond? Does it have the same benifits? and how does HA differ from MSM?
Thank you for your help

Are you considering eating it or having it injected into a joint capsule?

I am considering the supplements, not an injection

I took glucosamine/chondroitin and MSM for a
knee problem but the ones that helped me were
Natrol brand MSM and Nature's Bounty G/C. I
have others and they didn't do much but this
combo started to work in 1 day.

I never heard of HA. What are you trying to
fix ?

HA is Hyaluronic Acid. I heard a radio program about it and have since studied as much as I can about it.
It is currently being marketed as an aging supplement, but it has been used in the past in injections for arthritis sufferers.
The guy on the radio said that Glucosamine (or chondroyten I can't remember which) is actually found in stronger doses in HA and that they have found a lot of success with arthritis suffereres.
I was taking Schiff Pain Free with MSM and it was working great. I switched to the Costco brand to save a little money and am in pain again.
Thinking of trying the HA, if it doesn't help I'll go back to the Schiff.
I have heard that you should find a brand that works and stick with it...I guess the penny pincher got the best of me!
Anyone that has any experience with HA I would love to hear it.
Thanks

What does the Pain Free have besides MSM ?

I bought MSM to try to help with knee pain.
The first brand, Nature's Bounty didn't do a
thing for my knees but as soon as I started
taking it I didn't need the 2 sinus meds I
had been taking almost daily for a few years.
I happened to pick up Sundown brand when I
heard here that they came out with it and
that was my fav brand and I just bought it
because I was in Wal Mart and figured I would
need it for my sinuses since I still had to
take it about once a week. I decided to try
it just to see if IT would help my knees. It
Didn't but really helped with muscles aches
after activities. It took the 3rd brand along
with G/C that fixed my knees. What has really
been interesting has been that I haven't had
to take any for very long to not have the
problem even without taking them.

I started to buy every brand I could find but
3 others didn't do anything so I stoped but
tonite went looking and only found a different
one in Walgreens store brand but I have to
find more since I still have problems that
need solving.

Hi, Ann.

Continuing your walking will DEFINITELY cause your knee to get worse!

You need to do ONLY underwater exercises daily and you HAVE to lose the weight.

See the arthritis archives for additional things you can do.

Walt
