Hi - Do you have any thoughts on the following: Some eight years ago I had arthroscopy surgery on my left knee. durign that surgery the surgron removed a piece a of tissue which seems to have caused my kneecap to rotate millimetes to the left. The result has been that my entire skeleton has 'tilted' to the left and causes extreme muscular pain referring from the knee down into the ankle and all the way up the base of the spine, and up through the left shoulder and neck. I have tried orthotics, chiropractic, magnetic, osteopathy and other 'healing' treatments - anything but further surgery. The pain has recently increased - resulting in three staight nights of sleeplessness and I fear that surgery may be on the cards. So....
1. Any thoughts on 'alternative treatments'.
2. How easy is it these days to 'replace' removed tissue -- is there a synthetic tissue that can be used. What chance of infection - obviously there is some with all surgery.
3. Has anyone out there had a similar situation.
The knee itself retains full movement. It's purely an internal - muscualar thing -- I guess my body is pulling in the wrong direction or is misaligned. I'm looking for any
practical solutions short of surgery...or thoughts/comments about the type of surgery that may be needed.
Many thanks. Michaela

Sounds like your entire body has compensated for the knee problem, so you would no doubt benefit tremendously from a series of Rolfing treatments to realign your structure. Practitioners are listed on the web. I did it -- it's deep, healing work.

Hi, Michaela,
Listen to Jen (Thanks, Jen!)
Next, see what Doc Kim says.
Finally:
What have you done to strengthen the quadriceps on that side to match the one on the other side?
How is your SR coming?
What was removed? You should have a copy of the operative summary AND the pathology report in your files at home.
Till these questions have been resolved, I would suggest you start taking the essential oils on the homepage and glucosamine 750 milligrams twice a day. If you are not on at least 2000 milligrams of esterified vitamin C (twice a day) you need to get on that too.
Let us know what you learn and how you do.
Walt
