knee and leg injury

I was in a serious car accident one year ago. I was broadsided and both my legs went under the dash as I am 5'9"
At the ER they xrayed both legs said had hematoma on right tipfib and only bruising on both knees. Now one year later left knee pops out of place, feels tight in back and sharp pain across knee cap. An MRI revealed a meniscus tear and a 5 cm bakers cyst. The right leg was negative on the mri and I have severe pain in the tipfib area and the knee. When the skin is bumped or is moved(while turning over in bed) It feels as though the nerve in those areas is pinched. To see an ortho surgeon on Monday and dont want unnecessary surgery but I want my life back. The calf muscle on the left leg has atrophied and is half the size of the other leg muscle.I do not know what to do. Noone is offering any fix or solution.

I don't know anything about Baker's Cysts but would look
into Prolotherapy for the tear.

Hi, Charlotte.

Looks like whoever examined you for your original injury missed the boat and now you are stuck with the consequences---not unusual for the allopathic monopoly. After all who else are you going to see?

This will only get worse. MY suggestion would be to see someone competent. There is a new specialty in medicine called Physiatry. You need a physiatric evaluation. My son is that kind of specialist or I would probably not even know about it.

Only after a competent evaluation will anyone know how much you can be helped.

Let us know what you learn.

Walt
