over the break I followed and indeed consumed, the previous post archives detailing Robert McFerran's Elimination diet. I read all the recommneded background material, and like the research. Since that time I have become quite interested in undertakign the protocol. I did not that conversation on the topic was discontinued some time ago:

1) what are peoples opinions of its usefulness?

2) anyone still around who has tried it? would you be interested in sharing your experience and or opening a dialouge with me?

3) is anyone interested in trying it with me?

4) i have a million questions more, but I these threshold inquiries seem most relevant. I appreciate all feedback and advice.

Yep, I tried it.

I believe it's the ONLY real way to learn your food allergies and your metabolic type if that's what you're looking for.I came into it knowing what type I was and already on a good whole foods diet. I wanted to confirm that nothing that I was still eating was holding me back so I did it with the guidance and help of Robert McFerran. It's been a few years since I did it, and I'm not the perfect person to discuss this with, since my WFD sort of cleaned me out before I tried it. I didn't have any reactions to speak of. I've had varying degrees of success being "good" as far as diet, but I believe the information I gained was invaluable if only to solidify my understanding of my needs.I highly recommend it, and would be more than happy to answer questions that you have. I am most glad to hear that you've done the legwork to understand what's involved and why. So many people don't do that and end up being very confused...it's confusing even if you DO do the legwork! What are your health concerns that prompted your interest in doing this?I am very busy both at work and at home these days, so I might not answer the same day as you post...~~~8>

I have been experienceing- for years- the sort of subclinical symptoms that are so common on this board: heachahes on the left side from minor to severe, swelling, anxiety, fatique, a "brian fog", a dizzyness- not vetigo, cold ahnds and feet, shortness of breath etc... At one point they were so persistant and overpowering that I thought I could nto take it any more. I did though, and started asking questions. I tried paleolithic diets, and the zone and the blood type diet and recognized each seemed to help a little. None were a pancea. I recognize though following this board, that my road to recovery is an internal journey. I carry a lot of stress. Still though I hope to eliminate diet from the stressors.

I am a firm believer that the food we eat determines the health of our system. my grnadmother was a christina scientist and I have only twice taken anything stronger than advil- and that only very very rarely (none in years). Still, this sort of weird feeling has not left since I began to feel it at the end of college and I have decided to get busy healing. I have followed what Iregarded to be healthful diet religiously for years. I have eaten whole foods for years. I dont anticipate too many symptoms on the withdrawl . Perhaps a food allergy- actually I kinda hope so.

I dont knwo if this is the answer. Ifn fact I knwo this is not it in complete, but it is something I would like to do, somehtign I believe in, somehtign I am curious sbout. I appreciate your offer to help me. I could use all sorts of guidance. please feel free to contact my via email or this board [anyone]. I do my sr 2x daily, but help here i very important too me as I dont have many people to tlak to about this. I have read metbolic typiing diet, biobalance, the whole foods diet, nourshing traditions, the zone, ER4YT, nutrition and pysical degeneration, mind as healer mind as slayer, the balance, neanderthin, diet for a small planet, and that is just the tip of the ice burg. I have not looked at too much raw data, and perhaps I should. I am ready to experence this for myself.

Thank you.

Thanks, Warnerkallus.

The old adage of "You are what you eat." is only partially true. What is a lot more true is: "You are what you absorb of what you eat."

This is where LGS and diet hypersensitivities come in.

Hope this helps.
