Clostridium/pseudomembranous colitis

Posted by Lisa on September 29, 2002 at 12:50:15:

I was diagnosed with Clostridium difficile. On Flagyl for 10 days. Diarrhea never left completely. Today bloody diarrhea. Am I looking at pseudomembranous colitis? What can be done naturally for healing? Any correlation between this and leaky gut? malabsorption? dysbiosis and how do all of these relate? Diarrhea extremely foul smelling most of the time, with mucus and leaving a film on the toilet water. I have scleroderma. Had a GS stool analysis back in May. Guess a lot has changed since then. Don't know what of that information to give you. PH 7.5, lactobacillus 2+, escherichia coli 4+, bifidobacterium 4+, pseudomonas aeruginosa 4+. Dr. said that was not good. At that time dysbiosis risk was between optimal and slight but I think some things have changed since then. What additional info would be helpful? I DO NOT want to go on any more antibiotics for this. What can I do naturally? Read about slippery elm, but what else? I also have aortic insufficiency and need antibiotic treatment before dental and other procedures. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think this might be of some help on the stool analysis:
Metabolic Markers - n-Butyrate 8.7, Beta-Glucuronidase 803, pH 7.5, SCFA distribution: Acetate 69, Propionate 14, n-Butyrate 17
Absorption - LCFA 8.7, Cholesterol 1.5, Total Fecal Fat 10.9
I hope this might be of additional help.
Thank you,

Hi, Lisa.

Since this organism is present everywhere (including inside everyone's colon) how come has it escaped from YOUR control systems??????

You have to have LGS to get this and the conventional treatment does nothing about this susceptibility factor. No wonder the treatment is not even working in the short term.

You MUST start learning what is on this site about LGS or you will have a very sorry future.

Let us know what you learn. See the glossary for any unfamiliar terms.

Walt
