SR is the single most important thing to do. The next thing for you to learn avbout is that the spastic colon is secondary to LGS and all the things one would do to resolve that will also have a propensity to help the symptons of spastic colon.

So long as you are dealing with the LGS, I would not worry about taking the conventional medications that give you symptomatic relief. You will not need them long after your get your SR down pat.
