glutathione-double-edged sword

When instructed to take glutathione, several unusual things happened: my son's autism stopped, along with the tourette's. My multiple kidney infections (lupus/sjogren's) stopped as well. I lost a lot of weight. My second son's grades went up in school. But, all three of us got inflammatory bowel with the consumption of almost 300 foods and my foot became inflamed and deformed. Why this effect and the massive allergic reactions? (Andy Cutler doesn't explain in his book). The inflammation persists even though glutathione was discontinued 9 months ago. My son's autism is coming back. Is it the sulfhydrils?

That doesn't make any sense to me. I am not suprised of the positive effects that glutathione provided for you and your son. However, it doesn't cause inflammatory bowel disease. In fact, it should HELP that type of problem. Glutathione is a very powerful antioxidant which protects ALL your body's tissues. In fact, when glutathione levels go down, all causes of death go up. There is obviously another reason for the IBD. What are you both eating, and what else are you taking (supplements, medications)?

Hi, Lawrence.

Listen to HY.

You are a victim of the allopathic paradigm that taking something is more important than doing something. You were lulled into complacency when the glutathione helped so much: you stopped looking for the contributing factors you might have dealt with to prevent this all from happening.

We all would like to find the magic pill but, at least as yet, there are no magic pills in 99.999% of chronic conditions.

Hope this helps.

Walt
