excessive burping

I have had excessive burping for over a year now. From the time I get up and my body is in upright position to the time I lay down, I continue to release air. I close my mouth but the internal gas is loud and unruly. I have been to the doctor and he said that it's stress or ulcer and gave me some pills that didn't do anything. My boyfriend now is saying that I have halitosis and I can understand why because I can feel the burps do come from deep inside my lungs/stomach acid. All I can say is that when my body is not in an upright position, for example, laying on the couch, I do not burp, but soon as I get up, massive air is released. Iíve told my self that this is controllable and have lesson the amount of burping by will power. For example, before, I would continue to burp in excessive of 20x in a row or until I run out of air , but now I relieve once or twice just to release the air, but I really need to stop this nonsense, as my worse concern is having halitosis.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi, Annie.

This is caused by excessive air swallowing which is caused by stress. The halitosis is called fecal breath which is caused by LGS which is also caused by stress.

See the archives about halitisis and about LGS and get started resolving it.

Let us know what you learn and how you do.

Walt
