abdomen

For several months now I have had discomfort of the abdomen on the left side just at the bottom of the rib cage. The feeling changes from mild pain to gas to a gurgling feeling and a feeling of blockage or obstruction. the feeling also moves lower at times. There can be very sharp pains in the lower abdomen and bowles. Diarhea is now frequent as well as occasional nausea (for no apparant reason). WIthin 1 hour of eating I often have painfull and urgent diarhea. I am also exeriencing aching testicals and painful or swollen glands under the scrotum and back to and around the rectum. I have been to a number of doctors who performed quick examinations (simply pushing on different areas of my abdomen) and was told to wait it out and return in a few moths if it persists. Fatigue has become a concern. The diarhea can be painful (sort of heaves). I am worried as I am traveling in Asia right now and just keep being dismissed by local doctors.
Please email me as to what immediate concerns or threats you feel I may be at risk of. Some doctors are attributing the symptoms to stress and anxiety.
The discomfort is causing a lot of anxiety and mood swings, fatigue ect...

thank you

chris

Hi, Chris.

Read "The Second Brain" by Dr Gershon (LGS archives) to begin to see how far behind the cutting edge your docs are.

Youi are describing the "splenic flexure syndromne" which is classical IBS which, in turn is a consequence of LGS.

See the home page the glossary and the archives until you begin to understand what your options are.

In my opinion you need to see a much more competent brand of "doctors". They are just waiting until any idiot can make the diagnosis and when you will be willing to undergo any kind of expensive examination and treatment they can come up with.

Let us know what you learn and how you do.

Walt
