Leaky Gut Syndrome

Posted by
Mitchell Goldflies, MD on August 02, 1999 at 22:54:24:

In addition to the usual symptoms asssociated with LGS I also suffer from a burning sensation in my face and upper arms; and delayed flare-up of LGS after exercise or strenous activites.

The intensity of the burning correlates well with my general level of symptoms at the moment(GI, sinus, dizziness, fatigue, etc.). I will appear flushed at times when the burning is bad. The burning many times will start or resolve suddenly. The post-exercise symptoms occur within 6-48 hrs. may last 1-2 weeks. The magnitude of the symptoms parrallels the intensity and duration of the activity.

Any explanation or solution?

Thanks,

Mitch Goldflies, MD

Yes, You are an MD?

Try to study first Multiple Chemical Sensitivity.

It is classic description of starting first stage of MCS.
Unfortunatelly MDs who belong to Association of Quacks also known as AMA, do not want to accept it.

read just published 1999 Concensus on MCS:

Hi, Mitchell.

You need to become a student of Dr Pelletier's classic "Mind as Healer, Miknd as Slayer". Along the way, I hope you will share with us what you learn.

This book was written about you and, with your background (especially when you see that you get well), you will bless this problem for what it forced you to learn. My personal story is similar and it changed my life personally and professionally.

While you are learning all this, you should get started with SR and do it religiously at least twice a day. See the glossary link below.

I have had a problem for about the last 6 months with waking up at night and in the morning with fingers so stiff I can hardly bend them, they feel like they are going to lock up at the joints. I assumed that what I had was Arthritis. I went to a local health food store and talked to a Reg. Pharmacist who is the owner. He told me that what I had was Leaky Gut Syndrome. He suggested quite a few supplements for me to take. Does this sound like it could be Leaky Gut? The only other health problems I have, I am on Tamoxifen for a breast cancer.I would appreciate any help on this as my family doctor wants me to take anti.-inflammatory pills which do nothing more than upset my stomach. I am 63 years old if that helps. Thank You

Zoe Ann, see what Walt wrote to Dr Goldflies. I feel sure the same advice will apply in your case.

Side effect from intollerance to medication inhibition of COX 1, COX 2, digestive problems, poisoning by mercury from dental amalgams and ---> LGS, all are related beyond any doubt!

It is CATCH 22!

Watch for very slight swelling and try to concentrate if the pain is within the joint itself or nerves around the joint!
Watch for night sweats!

It is no menopause but mercury!

The nerve pain may be very like arthritis, except it may be pulsating and comming in the vaves. There is a very strong connection between the digestive system (processing of proteins) and arthritis.
Arthritis is such a wide diagnosis that one wonders how accurate it is. Usually at your age if you have arthritis the visible deformation of the joints is almost classic.

I found out that the best test to find out if it is arthritis or nerve joint pain to observe the reaction after wearing out anesthesia specialy after surgery.

If it is nerve pain it will be temporary in remission and you will notice the difference between nerve and arthritic joint pain. Not all pains in the joints shall be labeled as arthritis. Recently I developed very strange pain between fingers of my right palm, almost instanteneous which followed very slight almost not noticeable swelling of the palm, with severe inability to operate palm. Doctor was shocked while analyzing it, while both we concluded it was a nerve reaction. Day before I just touched methyl alcohol.
I do have very severe MCS consistant with all scientific and
diagnostic criteria and related beyond doubt to poisoning by dental amalgam. This is how I do became an expert.
I also have severe LGS, as result of combination of all events.

While there is evidence that LGS is more likely than not related to Candida Albicans, the antibiotics and any chemicals can in deed be a direct culprits participating to LGS.

The alteration or damage to CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM produces plenty of digestive irregularities due to enzymatic and hormonal alterations.

MCS is a neurologic injury and in connection with neurotoxicity.

The evidence also point out that Candida Albicans in digestive system may produce methyl mercury which can cause severe poisoning by mercury.

In the past the special interests suggested that mercury poisoning is from the consumed fish to detract the attention from poisoning by dental amalgams.

Unfortunatelly people who never ate fish were also showing evidence of mercury poisoning, which clearly pointed out toward poisoning by leaking mercury from dental amalgams.
The most ridicoulous were claims by special interests that eating fish could cause elevated levels of mercury. The content of mercury in fish can not be even compared with several hundreds times higher levels of mercury leeching from amalgams.

So it is now well established connection between both, and very consistent.

I may sound like a maniac, but I know beyond doubt what doctors are trying to ignore and deny.
Only removal of mercury in my case stabilized me, but the damage is to severe.

The power of special interests in US and worldwide has the power of the most destructive avalanche.

On other hand banning mercury will make almost 90% doctors unemployed ande with no means to survive.

There is evidence that some food supplements are absorbing mercury and help extract it but depending on the intensity it may not be enough!

There is also evidence that "lubricating" digestive trac with olive oil, and fish oils, and suplements of magnesium may in deed help.
Olive oil appears to be good to "coat" with the thin film the stomach.
I may suggest to try to take olive oil before taking any medication, so the pills will not "stick" to stomach lining.
By cating the stomach and intesting with olive oil it may help to fight also fungi which may not be able to "breath".
However while finding remedy to protect local organs there is also need to fight it with other destructive remedies.

Some believe that DIFLUCAN and NYSTATIN treatments may be helpful.

Dear Zoe Ann,

Congratulations on finding that new breed of pharmacists who are expanding beyond conventional pharmacy training! Hang on to him! He at least knows both sides of the question and can likely recommend conventional prescription things when they are best (It does happen!)

LGS could easily be the major mechanism behind your present symptoms. There is a lot of information on this BB about that. See the links for FAQ and glossary below and go to the archives link below for more info if you want it.

Next, you might discuss with her: a trial of essential oils and glucosamine for temporary relief while you deal with the bracing and likely LGS. See the glossary for any unfamiliar terms.

Finally, since your hands seem to be the focus of the problem, this MAY be an early sign of Rheumatoid Arthritis. Robert Mc Ferran (on this BB) would be a good resource for options in that area. In the meantime, talk to your pharmacist about paraffin baths for your hands. Just that alone would do you a lot of good.

Walt
