I suspect I have IBS(constipation type)What is the best fiber for this-and what other treatments besides SR?

I had IBS over a period of a year and a half. I think most people have it much longer, because they look to outside "remedy's" but the long and short of it is to decrease stress and redo how you HANDLE stress.
I found that also juicing helped a lot...of course, I ate - but added cabbage/celery/carrot juice to my diet almost daily...it helped calm the stomach (you wouldn't think!) and intestines.
The key really is to get a grip on stress, since it is such a highly stress induced problem.

I've attended an HMO class on IBS, and even they recommended SR for it! They even conducted classes on relaxation. There was one person in the class who said SR helped her very much.
But there also is a bad thing to say about that HMO (or at least the doc that conducted the class). He said that stomach acid was overrated in its importance for digestion.
