"gastroparesis"

Posted by Deborah on July 28, 2003 at 14:45:18:

In search of some help! Am 42, always healthy, but did have to take Zithromycin this winter for a horrible upper resp. infection. This July have developed severe left upper quadrant pain accompanied with nausea and usually after the morning meal. It is nasty pain--have delivered 2 children naturally and this is more uncomfortable! Upper GI per MD and says the diagnosis is gastroparesis (I'm not diabetic) and Rx is Reglan. Have not had a HIDA scan to check gallbladder contraction, but do not have stones. Regardless of gallbladder function is there a remedy for this. I eat healthy-raw goat milk, free range eggs and meat from nearby farm, have an organic garden. Am taking Dr. Ohhira's probiotics now. Am making my own Kefir from fresh goat milk. Any other suggestions. THANKS!

Hi, Deborah.

Gastroparasis was one of the first diagnoses that exposed LGS for what it was since they are ALWAYS associated.

Also, my first suggestion is to find a doc who knows about modern medicine of the 21st century (look in th holistic practioners archives for how to find one). In the meantime, learn all you can about LGS and see the glossary for any unfamiliar terms.

Let us know what you learn.

Walt
