Question for Helping You ...

Posted by Sean on August 03, 2003 at 12:54:05:

I've been trying to get a grip on your protocol from dealing with leaky gut/candida and diseases linked around those 2.

I have been reading a bunch of old posts in regards to immuno labs, candida, PD, and leaky gut.

Have you posted under different names in the past besides helping you? I have seen some similarites from a person named Rich and LG resolver and some sililar names like this... just trying to figure out what you did and what you suggest for treatment.

also I know you suggest L-glutamine for LG; how much do you suggest someone take a day and should they spread it out ie 3x a day etc

thanks,

Sean

Hi Sean,

First, if you ignore SR, and simply opt for nutrients, your chances of healing LGS in the short-run are still good, but your long-term recurrance rate will be high. So don't neglect your SR.

Having said that, let me say that my revised protocol for dealing with LGS includes the following:

1. Diet based on metabolic type. Avoid grains. Nourishing Traditions cookbook should be used to prepare foods for optimal digestion. Include fermented foods. See the archives for a diet called "Basic Leaky Gut Diet"
2. Primal Defense
3. Omegazyme
4. Fish oil
5. Vitamin D based on 25-Hydroxyvitamin D

With the above protocol, most food allergy testing and stool testing is unncessary as these problems are handled naturally.

Furthermore, the 2 people in the archives were not me, but probably people copying my advice from previous posts or posing as imposters. It happens all the time here. If there is a specific piece of advice that you want to know is mine, just ask and I will let you know. Otherwise, the above protocol is what I would follow

-HY
