Confused about IgE, IgG blood allergy test and crohn's

Posted by Solace on September 18, 2003 at 18:28:42:

Hello,

So, the blastocystis does not show up repeatly in stool tests and all digestive analysis looks good. My doctor now thinks i have Crohn's disease or at least an autoimmune process going on in my gut. I have come up allergic to every kind of grain, potato, eggs, onions, dairy and a host of other random items. He wants me to do the specific carbo diet for a while and see how I do.

In addition to SR, do you think it is wise to follow this diet? Is it LG that is causing these test results? Pretty frustrating that since the onset of my infection, symptoms have improved in severity, but not changed.

Ok, thanks... and to answer my own iron question from a while ago, i was deficient, but able to retain it okay... so I am taking some iron every few days.

Thanks again,

M.

Hi, Solace.

No matter what diagnosis your doc comes up with, dealing with the LGS behind that diagnosis is your best bet.

The diet cannot hurt you and may even help for a while. However what you are describing will do nothing about WHY this is happening to you.

Let us know how you do.

Walt

Well, that's a good question. Why is this happening to me? Is it the LG? Why would this be happening?

Thanks, M.

I am negative for candida and for parasites in my stool tests... but after having blasto, I am so suspicious that it's still there. I just don't know.

Thanks, Solace.

That is like asking "Why do bad things happen to good people?"

If you will take the time to read the information on this 'site about LGS, you will see that this has been discussed, ad nauseum, on this 'site for years.

No one is going to resolve this problem FOR you. You are going to have to learn enough about it to begin to resolve it for yourself. There are many testimonials from people on this website who have done exactly that.

This will take many hours of your time and study. It really is up to you.

Let us know what you learn and perhaps we can help.

Walt
