Long time no see/how I got better

Hi everyone. First, I haven't been here in at least a year or two. I have forgottne my old boardname. I came here four years ago (approx) after almost dying from Hepatitus B.

As I got better I started getting worse and to make a long story short. I had developed a truly horrible case of LGS That we later just called an "intestinal Yeast Infection".

I tried the following meds before I got better. I will list those as well.

I tried

Natrens Healthy Trinity (little help not allot)

Tanablit (worked for a couple of weeks as an anti fungul before my body addapted)

DDS (started working then they changed the formula and it made things worse)

Several different prescription anti funguls

*I am looking at my list of meds and think it will be easier to say this, I tried everything on the market to deal with intestinal yeast as well as every medical procedure I could with little to no effect.

I came here and Dr Stoll (and I believe his son) told me about Nystatin Powder which while hard to get was a big help for awhile.

Then the anti fungul Diflucan came out and it helped allot.

I went through the herxhiemer effect (sorry for the poor spelling, it has been awhile so I am going off memory) or die off that was horrible but after a little bit I started getting sick again.

I was already in very poor health from the hep b (which I got while travelling abroad and not through drugs or sex. I say this because I am always asked how I got it and wanted to avoid the questions) so when the symptoms of the yeast started happening (feeling drunk whenever I ate anything with Carbs or Sugars, the stomach troubles, The headaches, the bowel troubles and on and on) I had dropped from a healthy 187 down to a sickly 121 lbs.

I was a professional athelete when I first got sick and was 32 years old at the time. I felt that I would be able to return to my career after a few months of dealing with the Hep but, it had taken me over three years after I was over Hep B of trying to get better from the LGK/Yeast syndrome and I was not only getting sicker but, I had become so ill that I had been taken to the emergency room 8 times in three months due to malnutrition and other maladies.

Then I came here, like I said, and then after trying several other things, I started taking the Diflucan, and then, I started taking Primal Defence.

I stumbled on Primal Defence the way we all stumble on these type of medicines. I was looking here and poking around the internet all day everyday that I could get out of bed and like I said, if it had any anti fungul properties in it, I have tried it so, when I came across PD I ordered it and figured that it would be another waste of time.

I was wrong. If I could recall my old posting handle here I could just pick up where I left off but I will just say that it has been at least a couple of years since I have came here and thanks to Primal Defence my life is back to normal.

I take one a day now and have had no troubles for more than a year. For me, it has been a silver bullet cure.

I haven't had to take a Diflucan for the two years or so that I have been on PD and like I said, my life is back to normal.

I am not schilling for PD. If you would like, send me an email and I can give you all the info you want on my situation, I just wanted to come in and say hi and let those of you know who are struggling how great this one med (or two if you want to count the Diflucan because it was part of the cure as well) worked to helping me get better.

Peace love and nemaste

(oh and if anyone from Primal Defence "garden of life" needs a person to give their testimonial on the stuff, I am your man!)

Thanks for your post. I don't have hepatitis, but I've been sick with CFS, fungal infections and LGS for over 12 years. I have the Primal Defense sitting on my shelf and am afraid to take it. I've tried everything you tried as well, and yes the Diflucan helped me, too. But I am curious. I have such violent, negative reactions to almost everything I try. Did you have any bad effects from the PD? Did you have to start slowly and build up? When did you start to notice positive effects?

Just today, I was looking at the bottle and wondering if I should try it. Many people on this board have posted negative responses to it, how sick it made them feel, that I have yet to really give it a go. I tried it for a few days about a year ago and quit.

I'd really appreciate any advice you might have on your initial experience with it.

Thanks so much,
Naya

Hi. Yes. I did have some die off effects from the PD.

After posting here yesterday I went through my health journal and found Dr Stolls three legged stoll information and want to be certain to say that it is that approach that got me healthy.

The first thing I did after coming to this amazing site was change my diet. I went to meat and veggies alone and then got into using some non gluetenous flours to make my own sort of pan fried bread once in awhile and while that helped allot, I was still sick and couldn't eat.

What the diet did was take away some of the toxic reactions to foods I was having and ease some of the distress I was having in the digestive track.

Then thanks to Dr Stoll (If you read this Walt, you truly are my hero and I have told so many people about you and your site since coming here who say the same. You will always be held in the highest regard to me and my family as will your family and staff) I found Nystatin powder and that helped allot until I was able to use the Diflucan.

So a quick recap, I used the first leg of the stool, the right diet, and had already stopped taking anti biotics and the rest of the stuff that was keeping me sick so that helped alot.

Then I used anti funals (Nystatin/Diflucan/GSE and a couple others but the Nystatin and Diflucan were the best) to kill the yeast.

Then i started with high doses of Primal Defence.

I was doing all of this out of order and getting limited results and it wasn't until I started reading and asking people here about what to do that I started using the propper method to get better.

Diet
Anti Fungals
Pro Biotics

(of course, the most important additional piece of information I have is that you have to also start believing the truth that you can and will get better. Some use SR which I have heard nothing but great things about, I used an exersize regiment that truly started by my walking from room to room in my house and in a weeks time, whenver the stress started hammering me too much, I was laying on my back on the floor doing leg lifts or walking around the house, whatever I could do to get my focus on to something positive. Within a months time of being on PD and the right diet after taking the anti fungals, I was started to get stronger and even had gained some weight back.

My point is that taking all of the correct medicinal steps is truly important (diet/anti funals/Primal Defence) but dealing with your focus or your stress is as important too.

On to the Primal Defence.

It is to me truly magic. None of the other pro biotics worked close to as well for me on any level. I have been taking it for two years now and am as I said a healthy active guy now and I sight this medicine to be the cornerstone of my healthy life where the medicinal part is concerned.

As to the amount to take. That is up to what you can tolorate. I took 9 a day to start and had headaches as well as everything else associated with die off. (runny nose, the works) It was hard work for about three days. Then I started noticing that I was feeling a little better. I stayed on the 9 a day for three weeks and by then i was feeling allot better. I cut back to 4 a day and then, I am down to typically one every other day.

I eat the same diet I did before I got sick from time to time now. I have even had a glass of wine once (not a drinker or I might have had more) with no ill effects.

I know I sound like a schill for Primal Defence and am sorry for that but I will say that the way that you feel about this website and how great Dr Stoll is (if you feel like I do about the place and him) I feel the same way about Primal Defence.

Diet/Diflucan/Primal Defence and exersize to help get my mind working right again along with the support of family and friends (and the great people I met at this great sight) took me from a borderline suicidal/dying from this "mystery illness" to living a healthy happy life again.

When I was at my lowest, I would have told you this was impossible. Now I know better. I know that you or anyone who is of a mind to can have the exact same success I have in getting better. It just takes the first step and the faith to make it.

You and anyone who reads this, have my personal email addy. If you want to, send me an email and I will give you all the support and help I can.

I believe with all my heart that if you have LGS or fibro or any of the illnesses associated with intestinal yeast proliferation that there is no reason for you to be sick with it if you don't want to.

Dr Stolls advice along with all of the meds/pbs etc that are available today will make you better or at least, better than you are now. You can do it.
