Ready to give up healing CRS?

If you recall I came to this sight a year ago because I had longstanding Candida but could not take antifungals as they made me very ill even in tiny amounts. Over the past year I did the E-diet and developed a rotated whole foods diet that works for me. I do SR twice a day and walk on the beach for half an hour three times a week. I have cleaned up a good amount of the mold and chemicals in my home. I fell of the whole foods diet, but I went right back on two months ago. I've felt a lot better on this plan, but the CRS keeps my diet very restricted. I figured it was time to try Nystatin again.

Two weeks ago I started with 250,000 units, 4 times a day. I am so sick I wish I would die. I have terrible brain fog, stuffed ears and sinus, swollen eyes. I have swollen joints in my wrist, ankle, and big toe. My teeth that have work done on them all ache as they do when I'm overloaded. I tried adding more VIT C, taking fiber, more water, and milk thistle to support the liver, but I just feel worse and worse. Obviously my detox systems are not working properly which is why I have the MCS. Following your three-legged stoll has greatly improved the quality of my life, but I don't think I'll be completely cured until I clear the CRS which should greatly improve the MCS.

At this point I really don't know what else to do besides pray. I'd appreciate any suggestions from anyone.

Congratulations, Dawn.

Your progress would be considered miraculous by any strictly conventional physician! NOW, we need to ascertain exactly where you are right now and see what needs to be done next. It sounds like you have built a solid foundation but still have some problems existing. This is a very typical place for someone to find themselves when they have had a severe and long-standing problem.

First, I need to know EXACTLY what you have done, and are doing, with your SR.

Next, you need to get a few true "liver function tests" from Meridian Valley Labs in Kent, WA. If you have not dealt with them before, you need to call (253) 857-8700 and find out who practices close to you who would know enough to order true liver FUNCTION tests. You could also call (800) 843-9660 (Functional Medicine Update) and ask them for a list of physicians close to you who have susscribed to their service for at least 2 years. Between both those lists, you should be able to find a good clinician to help you through the rest of this.

Finally, we need to know how leaky your LGS still is. For that youu will need a "comprehensive stool analysis" at Great Smokies Labs. in Asheville, NC at (800) 522-4762. You may need to jump through the same hoops finding the right doc for this but the likelyhood is that the doc who knows one knows the other.

Let us know the answer to my question above and, when you learn the lab results, let us know them too.

You have done the hardest part of all this already.

Namaste`

Walt

Hi Walt,

Thanks for the positive spin on things. I meditate twice a day for 10-20 minutes. I haven't had it tested but I can feel a distinct change when I "get there". This is the same feeling I got when I healed a lower back problem eight years ago.

Are the Meridian liver tests the same as Great Smokies detox panel where you take caffeine, tylenol, and aspirin and then measure what comes out in the urine?

Also if these liver tests show subpar functioning what do I do about it?

Namaste,
Dawn

Hi, Dawn.

Since you are still having problems, it might be a good idea to finally get a biofeedback test of what actually IS happening with your SR. As you know, for problems like this, the average length of itme for SR to completely resolve a chronic problem is 6-12 months. The ODDS are that you are reaching the proper level and it is just not yet long enough.

The Great Smokies tests are similar to Meridian Valley where they were developed. I think that Meridian now has a number that GSL does not yet do (I am not sure of that.)

IF your "function" tests are off, it depends upon which ones are off and how far as to what would do the most good. The people who have that information are "Functional Medicine Update" at the website at healthcomm.com or at (800) 843-9660.

Let us know what you learn.

Walt

Dawn, you might want to deal with the CRS problem gradually rather than over a compressed period of time. I imagine the whole foods diet, the SR, exercise, will help over time - without the intense side effects of the nystatin.

You might try some natural antifungals. I have had some success with citric acid-based compounds and taking probiotics as well. But without the lifestyle changes, you'll probably have to start again at some point.
