I wonder if I would benefit from your coaching.

I had a colonoscopy 2 weeks ago showing lots of bumps, inflamation, and some bleeding areas (I.E. Chrones says my Doc, but no upper GI work done yet, just the colon.)
I have changed my diet to higher fiber/protien (soy beans, rice) low meat and fat. Today, I am buying the book on whole foods you recommended and the workbook on stress reduction/skilled relaxation.

Currently, I am on prednisone (40mg/day) and asacol (2 caps/3times per day) I go back in 6 weeks for another colonoscopy. Since the colonoscopy prep. or maybe the drugs I don't have diarrhea, but I still have some arthritis like pain in my knees and minor muscle pain in legs and sometimes back and neck. I am afraid to take supplements like bromelain as an NSAID because my doc told me no ibuprophen or aspirin, so I use 1000mg Tylenol 1-2 times a day for the arthritis like pains. I want to get off the tylenol, but it helps.

I worry that the pains in my legs are related to Mg or other mineral deficiecy since my diet was all processed carbohydrates meats and cheese protiens and absorption may even be worse do to the chrones. I am going to get some green leafy veggies or maybe some seaweed for the trace minerals to see if that helps the muscles.

Am I a candidate for the coaching? Any suggestions to get off tylenol? any suggestions/comments about the muscles/minerals?

Thanks, Walt Your book is fabulous. I'm going to spread the word.

Anyone can benefit from the Health Coaching. Crohn's is one of the first chronic conditions of the intestinal tract that reliably responded to a wellness approach!

Your current benefits ARE likely due to the prednisone and your avoiding NSAIDS. It is too soon for any healing approaches to be having this much effect. The problem, of course, is what does one do when this dose stops working? Increase the dose! There is a limit to the length of THAT road.

Let me know if I can help with a H.C.

Walt
