Hi! You could be allergic to soaps or detergents you are using. Or you could be allergic or sensitive to some food that you eat a lot. Do you eat wheat, dairy?

Kaia,

If SR is ALL you do, it will take 6-12 months. Persist and be sure you have certified it's effectiveness with biofeedback.

well..... it doesn't seem to be any products i use; i have switched detergents and anyways i use only natural products. it doesn't seem to be foods i eat, either. i tried an eliminatioon diet and still got hives. . not to mention that during the one month that they went away when i visited my family, i was eating more of the foods that seem to be allergens (wheat, dairy).

anyone have any luck with vibrational medicines (flower essences, homeopathy)/??

In 2003, my rheumatologist diagnosed me with utcaria. At that time, my cronic hives had been with me for 6 months and were VERY bad. They also had an unusual pattern - they followed my veins in streaky lines (dotted with welpy hives) and were especially noticable on my thighs, calves, behind, the upper back of my arms and down the upper portion of my spine. Every antibiotic I was given just made them worse. Prednisone didn't take them away, but reduced them as well as caused me loads of unhealthy side effects. My body hyper-responded to any and all meds.

I went to a homeopathy doctor and the results were wonderful! If you get a GOOD homeopath, you'll have great results.

Interesting note (and a question for Walt) -
I recently read that HIVES are linked to the same H.pyloi bacteria that causes STOMACH ULCERS/GERD/LPR Reflux. Do you know if there is a connection? I have recently been diagnosed with LPR Reflux (Laryngopharyngeal Reflux) and prescribed Nexium and a restricted diet. I prefer to treat with natural remedies, but I must admit - the Nexium has worked wonders for the LPR and I'm hoping there might be a secondary residual bonus effect for clearing the stimulus for the hives. (I'm also testing for WGA, though.)

Thanks! -S

Thanks, Sandy.

Of course there is a connection! They are all related to LGS which conventional medicine is still refusing to consider. Probably another 10 years although there are already articles about it in the mainstream journals (see the LGS archives for references).

Let us know what you learn.

Walt
