new finding about candidiasis

Dr,
Two things I want to bring to you and friends.
First, It looks promising an immune therapy against candida using dendritic cells. I believe there isn't too much information about it yet but it has been used sucessfuly in AIDS patients.
Second, A chronic very common candida case that most Drs don't know about it. Chronic Atrophic Erythematous Candidiasis that is left in the genital areas after an acute infection. This is also called latent intracellular candidiasis. I am sure there are many people suffering with it without a proper diagnosis.

That's interesting about the dendrite cells... this article MAY be saying the same thing... hard to say as it's pretty technical..

This utilizes dendritic cells to activate a cytotoxic response towards an antigen. Dendritic cells, a type of antigen presenting cell, are harvested from a patient. These cells are then either pulsed with an antigen or transfected with a viral vector. The activated dendritic cells are then placed back into the patient; these cells then present the antigens to effector lymphocytes (CD4+ T cells, CD8+ T cells, and in specialized dendritic cells, B cells also). This initiates a cytotoxic response to occur against these antigens and anything that may present these antigens. One use for this therapy is in cancer immunotherapy. Tumor Antigens are presented to dendritic cells, which cause the immune system to target these antigens, which are often expressed on cancerous cells [22] . The Dendreon product candidate Provenge is one example of this approach.

Have you hear before about the red form of candida??
Chronic Atrophic Erythematous Candidiasis. How many women are left with this condition after an acute vaginal candidiasis?? Many!!!! But, this form of candida infection isn't known by the mainstream medicine. At least, most MD don't know about it.

Take a look to the Dr. Marjorie Crandall website. This girl has been more than 30 years studing candida.
