CRS, LGS, and sinus infections

Posted by Robin Pollan on February 02, 1999 at 14:17:42:

I as you probably know, have Candida, LGS, etc. I am doing the SR and am feeling better, but I still seem to have problems with sinus infections. I was wondering if the GSE nose spray that has been posted on the board would help me with this until my SR can catch up? I have only been doing it faithfully for about 1 1/2 months.

Hi, Robin.

Can't hurt and I would be very interested in hearing how it worked.

I would be more interested in hearing how well you have broken the habit of letting your teeth touch when you are relaxed.

The most common missed cause of chronic sinus is structural: people let their teeth touch when they are not using them and that blocks the venous outflow of the sinuses-----thus causing swelling and the congestion that eventually can cause infection.

Sinus infections/candida

Hi, Robin!

My sinus infections just faded away when I got the candida under control. My doc thought that the sinus problems were caused by a fungal infection - I guess related to candida or at least promoted by the same weakness in my immunity....

just thought I'd pass that along.
be well!

Trish

So, did you use the GSE or nystatin in your nose? I wonder if it could be done with a water pic and special nostril attachment that ENT's use?

Hi Nancy,

I didn't use anything. The infections and discomfort just went away as the candida went away and I got healthier. I'm certain some of it was caused by inflammation due to food reactions. I'd had a test by an ENT to find out why I had clicking in my ears and the infections. He said I had bad eustachian (sp?) tubes and told me to take decongestants for the rest of my life! Not.. I'm too dry as it is. When I found my current doc, he put me on ER4YT (I'm an O) and told me to avoid sugar, etc. for the candida. When I cut out wheat, potatoes and corn, amazing things happened.

For sinus pain, I posted this recipe awhile back, it's an Ayurvedic preparation - try it!

1 teaspoon dry ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon honey
enough fresh ginger juice to mix with above ingredients into a paste

mix it up and eat as much of it as you can (all of it if possible). I start to feel sinus relief in about 1/2 hour - you'll have to blow your nose!

good luck,
trish
