Now that I've been diagnosed with candidia, should my husband be treated as well?

Hi Trish - Candida is very contagious - if one family member has it - then generally - all family members has it. Check their tongues to see if any of them have a white or greenish coating - if so then they have a bad case of candida also. I know of a woman that let her bird eat food out of her mouth and the bird contracted the womans candida from doing just that.

O.K, well, then

I'm going to plead my case to my dr for my husband (and kids!) Thanks so much! It would be awful to keep passing this back and forth!

Sorry-ignore my post above-here's test results...

Went to see my allopathic doctor this morning. BOY was I stupid to think I could try to get him to prescribe Nystatin for me.
I took my books, my printed information about candida, nystatin, etc but he wouldn't even look at it! He's said he's seen plenty of people with candida (?)He still wants to put me on antidepressants!!! Gaaa! I said NO. I am not clinically depressed! So, he wants to send me to an infectious disease specialist! This appointment will probably be a month away. Meanwhile, I'm being munched by yeast!!!!!
I did remember (amazingly, considering my awful memory) to get copies of my lab results. Actually, I got out of my car and had to go back in the office, but I got them.
I'm not sure how to read them..
Test name Result Out of Range Reference Units LOC

Candida AB, IGM * 1.00 H ((0.89) " "

Aspergillus AB, CF (1:8 (1:8 titer sp
blastomyces AB, CF (1:8 (1:8 titer sp

I wish men had vaginas and got yeast infections at least three times a year. Sorry. I know that was rude, but NOW WHAT? Find a homeopath dr? Help!!!! I didn't expect this. I need a plan B. I do not want to wait-I don't want to be shuffled around!!!!! How do I find another doctor in my area??
The weird thing is, I overheard my doctor's nurse telling another doctor in the office that she was going to be taking an alternative medicine class at CLC. I asked her about it and she said yes she was indeed doing so. So, why am I getting the run around? Why not just treat me for what the tests show I DO have? Gaaaahhhh!!! boy was I naive!!
Next???????

Hi, Trish.

Welcome to the world of the allopathic monopoly where intentional ignorance, by the practitioners of that monopoly, become rich by practicing intentional ignorance of revolutionary advances!

I predict that your infectious diseases visit will be another 'eye opener'.

You need a true physician in your area to help you instead of your having to have to drag your doc, kicking and screaming, into the 21st century.

None of your lab results mean anything without the 'normals' from that lab posted along with your results.

If you are trying to treat C-RS, remember that the genetic level of immunity (as modified by lifestyle) of the person is a LOT more important to whether your candida is contagious than simple proximity. Any of your family that has no symptoms would not need any treatment at this stage.

See the resources archives as to how to find someone knowledgable in your area. Be sure you have copies of ALL of your medical records in your possesion for your consults. Make up a history like suggested in the Health Coaching Protocol and take that with you. ANY physician who does not make use of that information does not deserve one more minute of your time or money. Run for your life!

Let us know how you do.

Walt

But Dr. Stoll....

I posted everything on the lab paper. Every word on the whole sheet. The lab results are incomplete? I thought the 'reference' column had something to do with the normal range (or something like that) but I really have no idea. I've been pretty good at getting copies of my lab results (had thyroid tested, but not free T3/T4 so from what I have read that was useless too).
Yes, Dr. Stoll, this is an eyeopener. My husband wants me to go to the infectous disease dr my primary wants to send me to but I am tired (literally) of waiting and ready to take responsibility for my health. Grab the bull by the horns. Will look in your resources for holis. dr info and read about making a history.
Why are these doctors so anal? Didn't they take the hippocratic oath? Don't they want to learn more? There has got to be something that can be done. Look at Europe-they seem to be way ahead of us!! And here in America, well, europe must be laughing at our overall healthcare attitudes.Don't doctors realilze people have the internet now and know more? They shove this managed healthcare on us and expect us NOT to learn more ourselves?? My son has Darier's Disease which promted me to turn to the internet. I dont know what I would do without the information it gives me. When I take this information into the doctors' office it's as if they're offended (except for one derm dr). Sorry, but I just get so angry about this sometimes, especially when it comes to my (or any other) kids!! Sorry for the ranting. I feel better now ;-) But this attitude has GOT to end! I wonder what brought about the change in europe.

Hi, Trish.

Now that I see THIS note I do see a few of the normals for that lab listed. I guess that I have so little faith in these tests that I did not take them seriously. From these tests, if one takes the results seriously, it looks like you have some reactivity to candida. These tests are based on the allopathic paradigm that one cannot have candida without it being a terminal disease. This is not what C-RS is at all.

The reason for the ridiculous imbalance in this country is directly due to the legislated monopoly the allopaths have had since 1911 (Flexner Report).

The AMA has even changed the Hippocratic Oath [just within the past 40 years] from it's original most important #1 admonition: "First do no harm." to " Be kind and generous to your colleagues." Nowhere in the current oath does it say anything about not harming people. Apparently this is to start going along with the fact that, today, medical treatment is the 4th leading cause of death in the country. The shift now is to "don't rat on your buddy physicians"! Only a monopoly could get away with something like this.

Go figure!

Namaste`

Walt
