LGS ???

Posted by Jean B. on February 21, 1999 at 16:29:44:

I ordered 4 of your books but they haven't arrived yet. I
need to ask the following:
After antibiotics, provera and napralan I started to have all kinds of digestive problems and lost 30 lbs. Was put on nystatin and diflucan and all kinds of supplements, ultra clear sustain
and put on strict diet lost another 15 lbs Dr's suspected ye
sydrome. Had many stool test by reputable labs no yeast or fungi or parasites, high level of proteus mirabilus. Condition got worse major IBS, belching, nausea, short of breath, nervousness, insomnia, scalloped grey /white tongue, salty taste all the time. Was put on antibiotics again to knock out proteus but didn't help. Then they suspected parasites
was given artemsia, grapefuit seed extract and berberine
and aloe, uva ursi. Had LGS test and showed a very leaky gut. Had
allergy testing done no highly reactive foods.
-----------------------------------
I read that aloe and berberine actually contribute to LGS.
What should one do in my situation?

I am considering taking berberine. I would be interested in your experiences with it. Also could you tell me what products you used and where you read about it being harmful for LGS. Thanks a lot.

What kind of LGS test would that be? I'm under the impression that LGS isn't recognized to exist by conventional medicine. If there's a test that confirms it, how could that be?

Thanks.

Gerry,
The test was performed by Great Smokies Diagnostics Lab.
It's a urine test. You can call them at 1-800-522-4762
and ask for info.

Dawn,
berberine is the active ingredient in goldenseal. Look
at http://www.afpafitness.com/LEAKYGUT3.HTM.
It has oxidizing affect and because of this I stopped. I was having so many stomach problems. I tried
it for a couple of days.

Dear gerry,

DON'T GET ME STARTED!

There are many established tests for LGS. Unfortunately the local labs that most docs use do not do them. Labs exist to make money. Setting up tests costs money. Until enough docs know enough to order the tests, the labs do not set them up.

Since LGS is outside the allopathic paradigm, until the MAJORITY of conventional docs know about it, the tests will not be easily available to them AND those who even talk about it will be drummed out of practice.

This is why I keep telling people to call the (800) 522-4762 number of Great Smokies Labs (where these tests are done routinely) and find a KNOWLEDGABLE doc in your area who would know enough to order the tests AND what to do about the results.

So long as the conventional medical system has a monopoly, and there is a LOT more money to be made treating the symptoms of LGS than dealing with the LGS itself, why should they do differently than that which is serving them so well already????

Let us know what you learn.

If you wait for the conventional medical monopoly to recognize the truth that is LGS, you will probably not live long enough to benefit from it. Remember, once it is safe for any doc to deal with it (without losing his/her license)the run of the mill doc is going to be 20 years behind those who HAVE and will still have 20 years of catching up to do. Do you really want to be the person the doc is learning on?

Walt
