Hi,
I have been reading about LGS and treating it with SR, aloe, and glutamine. I am doing the SR as outlined. I was unclear as to how to best take the aloe and glutamine.
Glutamine. I read that you should take 5-15 grams/day. Is there a good way to determine how much to take in that range? Also, should it be taken in divided doses or all at once? (I know you should take amino acids in general on an empty stomach.)
Aloe. What form should aloe be taken in and how much? The gel or juice? Empty stomach or with meals?
Thanks. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Here's to healing the gut!

Start out with 1g of L-gluamine a day. Increase every couple days by 500mg or 1g. Take in a large glass of water between meals in divided doses. At some point you will go over the limit your body can handle and you may get gas and possibly some constipation. The aloe vera comes in handy at this point. I recommend starting the aloe after you find your ideal dose of glutamine. The aloe is best taken as juice in this case. There are many on the market. choose one that is at least 97.9% pure, and does not contain anti-nutrients. It will say it on the label. Aloe is best taken 10-20 minutes before meals or inbetween meals. It's more of a personal finding than a set-in-stone protocol. I hope this helps you
