LEAKY gut ?

Posted by ABBY on February 27, 1999 at 16:07:47:

Has anyone out there been cured of a leaky gut? I now
SR is important but is there anything safe to take to help
repair the gut and ease the symptoms? I have read so much !@#$$% and some the info is contradictory.

Does one heal the gut
first before trying to get rid of yeasts or bad bugs?
Has anyone tried the body ecology diet with success. It's
very strict and I really don't need to loose any more weight.

Dear ABBY,

Healing LGS is routine when the causes are addressed. It usually takes 6-12 months but then, all of the things caused by the LGS come into line.

Why not post a note titled something like "LGS Testimonials???" and see what you get.

It IS a lot of work to learn enough to understand this and a LOT more work to actually do it. Your alternative is to continue down the path you have already seen for yourself for the past 20 years-----for the rest of your life.

Abby, Dr. Stoll is right, it's a lot of work, but in my case
my intestinal pain cleared up almost immediately when I
began eating whole foods and staying away from anything
processed. Finally I was giving my body some tools for
healing rather than tools for destruction.

I used to feel terrible pain coming up at my beltline, a
band about six inches wide all the way around, a short time
after eating. If I wasn't at home, I knew I better get
home, because I had to find a place to be very still till
the worst pain was gone. The worst pain I ever had was
right after eating too many chips to count and greasy
Mexican food at a local restaurant. It got to where I was
scared to even eat, because everything caused that terrible
pain. I suffered from waves of constipation and diarrhea,
and very painful gas, about the time I was diagnosed with
fibromyalgia.

No M.D./specialist even considered doing any tests on my
digestive system for the first two years, even when I
requested it. I got the only good advice I have received
from this website and a telephone consultation with Dr.
Stoll. I am now blessed with a M.D. who has confirmed leaky
gut and hypoglycemia. Skilled relaxations saved me till he
came into the picture. Feel free to email me. You are on
the right track at this

Johnelle,

When you say whole food diet are you saying this?:

1. eat only things that are organic
2. and did you stay from the diet like have a bagel, cereal, meat from a deli? <<< these things are foods that you find commonly in most food stores?

I haven't done the infamous whole foods diet, per se (though
my time is fast approaching as I am in the E-diet brigade
presently), but what I mean is foods that haven't been
altered or processed. I hope I don't get out of line by
giving my explanation, because others have devoted so much
more than I have in the way of true whole foods. But what I
mean is -- buy foods and eat them in as close to their
original state as possible -- produce, produce, produce. If
you can't eat it raw, just barely steam it. And don't eat
anything packaged, even that salad mix in the package
already torn up. Everything seems to have chemicals on it
these days, even fruit being sprayed to keep it from
ripening while it's being shipped. Refined foods -- the
white stuff -- white rice, white sugar, white flour, even
so-called regular whole wheat flour -- has the enzymes
stripped out of it as it is processed, before it ever gets
to you, so when you eat it your body has to supply the
needed digestive juices or you're in trouble (I was!). I
feel the good ole USA is really getting into trouble with
our eating habits, because everything is fast and convenient
rather than healthy.

There's probably info in the archives on this. I know you
can buy Beth Lasseile's (sp) book through this website, "The
Healing Power Of Whole Foods". That's my next big hurdle,
TRUE

Hi, Johnelle.

First, to answer your question: Look at the top of the BB and you wil see what you are likely doing: leaving the note area before it is actually sent.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the real help you are being to this BB. "Helping others move toward wellness IS an aspect of our own."

I have read that comment, and I thought I was waiting a
sufficient amount of time before exiting. Is there
something that will tell me how much time is enough?

Incidentally, I gave a presentation on STRESS to a small
group of ladies in Fort Worth last week, using your book as
one of my main references, along with the Mind As Healer and
Stress Reduction Workbook, and my SLED gizmo. The ladies
who heard my talk wanted -- as the computer says -- "MORE
LIKE THIS" -- so I am continuing next month. This is
keeping me on my toes with my reading -- nothing like a
deadline to get me focused! I passed out copies of your
book, but there are so many people who are inquirng on how I
got to feeling better that I just keep needing more books to
start them off and get them connected to my new mindset
regarding personal health. I am forever grateful to you! I
am so blessed to have found a doctor here recently who will
put some trust in my own knowledge of what's happening in my
body. He ran the hypoglycemia test, the LGS test (both
positive) and will do a liver function next. He even does
chelation therapy! Blue Cross has taken him off their list
of approved doctors; he's been getting bad treatment from
the local medical community for years. But he listens to me
and reads everything I bring him. I took him your book last
week. Anxious to get feedback from him.

Now lets see if this cuts

Dear Johnelle,

You are describing EXACTLY why I am doing what I am doing with the internet AND my writing the book.

People like you can take this information & make a difference in the world. I am helpless to do this by myself. I has to be a team effort. This reminds me of the saying: "Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me!"

Today some lady called me on the phone. A mutual friend had
been telling her, "You NEED to call Johnelle", to find out
how I started getting better. She has been on a three-year
search through numberous M.D.'s, you know the route, and the
most they can come up with is possibly Reynaud's, because
her feet are blue, but she has problems going all the way up
her legs and I don't know what all.

Forty-five minutes later I had told her my whole story, from
my faxing your office my complete health history, waiting
three days, calling and making an appointment for a phone
consultation, then having you finally ENLIGHTEN me as to
what was causing virtually every symptom I was experiencing.
The second order of eight of your books that I had placed
arrived within two hours, and I took a copy to her. Time
will tell whether she takes the ball and runs with it. I
recommended she do the coaching session, but to definitely
read the book. Be looking for her -- the name is Susie. I
just can't keep your books on hand. They offer HOPE to
people who have already tried everything else. That seems
to be the type that comes and is ready to listen, because
they have FINALLY lost faith in conventional medicine. I
think what really causes them to either give up or turn to
alternative medicine is when the doctors announce that is
MUST be all in their head, because they don't have an
explanation. They either decide "Well, maybe it is all in
my head" and live with it and continue the downward spiral
healthwise, or they start taking responsibility for it
themselves.

I am practically engaging in a full-time job here at the
computer and talking to people individually, and now the
group thing. And I download threads of discussions about
various topics, and have gotten smart and started a master
file of the archives so I don't have to go through anything
but photocopying. Thank GOD we have a photocopier in our
home! My hairdresser heard I did the presentation on stress
in Fort Worth and she wants me to give it at her monthly
salon employees' meeting. (Her husband is developing
fibromyalgia) All I am telling people is what you taught
me, and they are listening!!!!! Your dream is
materializing, at least in North Texas!

It seems EVERYBODY's health is falling apart. Do you g

Thanks, Johnelle.

You have just made my week!

Further, I believe that the AMA monopoly has not only run its course but that one of the factors is the increasing stressors in tne environment, while the horsepower for dealing with them is decreasing (building block deficiencies). This is one major reason why a lot more poeple are coming down with chronic conditions. Even though this means a lot more money in the mopnopoly's coffers, the system is breaking under the strain.

This is the time & we are the tools.
