I'm Scared.

Dr. Stoll and friends,
I am having terrifying problems with Candida and LGS. I have developed several life threatening allergies in the past month and now must carry EpiPens and antihistimines everywhere I go. I have been advised by my doctor and allergist not to travel more than 30 minutes from a hospital. I have reacted to so many foods that all I now have left is rice, beans, and a couple of raw vegetables. I'm losing weight at an alarming rate.
I have been healthy my entire life (or so I thought), although now that I know more I suspect that I have had Candida for years, maybe decades.
I am a single mother and am very frightened that I may die in a reaction and my son will have nowhere to go, or that I will develop sensitivities to the few foods I have left. I need advice ASAP on how to find a specialist in my area of Ithaca, NY (though I am very willing to travel if necessary!) My doctor is clueless about this, and the allergist just wants to treat my symptoms.
You've probably read my story a thousand times on this website, and forgive me if I have not done enough searching...I feel like I am on borrowed time and your site is the first one that gives me some hope of a solution.
Thanks so much to all the caring people out there -- I can only hope that some day I will be in the position of helping you.
Sarah

Hi Sarah,
I have heard only good things about Dr. Sherry Rogers in Syracuse, NY. Her phone number is 315-488-2856. She has also written numerous books. Also, the candida forum website offers a lot of good information and support http://www.healthyawareness.com/Candida_General/index.htm

In the archives, Dr. Stoll has "holistic practitioners".
I found this 800 number you can call. I think it is a journal subscription and if they have subscribed for at least two years, he feels they would qualify to help you.
The # is 800-843-9660.

Thank you Judy, for your suggestions. I called Dr. Rogers this morning and found out that she is in semi-retirement, and sees patients one week out of every six. She will provide 30 minute phone consultations for a prepaid $150, and they are booking them 6 to 8 weeks from now. Is this how it is with this illness? I feel anxious to go and see a real human being as soon as possible.
I'll look at the website you suggested tonight.
Thanks again,
Sarah

Protocol for serious Chemical/food sensitivity caused by chronic bracing.............

You are suffering from late stages of Leaky gut, dysbiosis. The chemical/food sensitivities are a result of the leaky gut. I don't have any advice as to finding a doctor in your area but I will tell you what I would do if I were in your shoes at this time.

go purchase about 15 bottles of Primal Defense at www.transformyourlife.com. This is the cheapest source I could find. Each bottle is about $30 but I'm usre she would give you a discount if you bought it in bulk. Start taking the primal defense at HIGH doses. You may want to work your way up slowly because you are likely to have SERIOUS die-off reactions in your state. Whatever the directions say on the bottle, you DOULBE the dose. So, if it says to work up to 12 capsules a day for 90 days, you should go to 24 capsules or even higher. Primal Defense is a soil-organism product that will restore your gut ecology and kill yeast, parasites, mold, fungus, bacteria, and even some viruses. It takes a little time however. So, you want to stick with it for at least 90 days.

At the same time you start that, start taking L-glutamine. start out slowly and work your way up to 10g per day in divided doses. Take this in water beteen meals. You might also want to purchase something called Permavite. This is the BEST product for intestinal permeability. Do a search on the web for it.

Finally, go to www.4-life.com and purchase several bottles of TRANSFERFACTORS PLUS and begin taking this product as directed. It will strengthen your immune system dramatically. So will the Primal Defense.

If you are reacting to many foods and you can't eat all that much, try taking Primal Defense's companion product, Perfect Food. It is a concentrated whole food supplement with the nutriitonal equivelant of 10 serving s of vegetbales and 2 servings of fruits. It is 100% pre-digested so you may handle this product better.

I don't know if this is possible but if you can find a source of RAW KEFIR, start drinking raw Goats' milk Kefir 1-2 times a day. This food is 100% raw, is not homogenized or pasturized and will deliver many organisms, proteins, EFA's to your gut to help you heal.

Start practicing SR to help all of these strategies work better. This must be very difficult for you but what is your alternative??? Your problems are ALL stemming from chronic bracing, Leaky gut and severe Dysbiosis. The above suggestions are based on an emergency protocol to stablize someone in your situation.

Before eating, can you take quercetin/bromelain and buffered vitamin C? This will help your body to stop producing HISTAMINE. HISTATMINE worsens inflammation in your intestines and only makes LGS harder to heal. It is important that you not have severe allergic reactions. Quercetin is a natural anti-histamine. Take it before eating and this may help to stop some of the reactions.

The above protocol is not cheap but if you stick with it, you WILL be on the road to getting better. take care and let me know if you need anything else :)

The cheapest i know of is Jarrow Formulas, you can get it at iherb.com. "Helping You" has said that powder form is best, because you need several grams a day for good effect. The Jarrow comes in 1Kilo containers for $50.

I have a question about L-glutamine. When I take more than 3 grams per day I always get constipated, is this a common reaction?

I'm not sure of the exact area you are near [haven't looked at a map] but Dr. Leo Galland is a fantastic doctor in all the areas you talked about and writes many books; He is in New York City, i'm sure operator will give you his number; I have personal worked for him and he has sent a patient down to us at the Well Being Ranch; Good Luck! Remember moving thru fear is very important,it alone can cause a lot of problems with the physical body;

YES! Constipation tells you what your limit for L-glutamine is. This happens to a lot of people

Thanks for all the info. I'm trying to digest it all, so to speak. I have no idea, however, what "chronic bracing" is. I also have never heard of "SR". Thanks in advance for the clarification. Sarah

So if that happens to me at 3 grams or so per day, then I guess you are saying that is my limit, and I should take no more, correct? I have LGS and I thought I should be working towards a higher dosage but I guess not.

Hi, SingsJazz.

Your sad story is what everyone with LGS risks if they do not deal with the causes early enough. STILL, it is totally reversable but it will take you about 2 years if you do it right.

In the meantime, a good Clinical Ecologist can make your life safer until then.

All of the information you need is on this BB. Use the archives about stress, SR, LGS, C-RS, bracing, allergy, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities and related subjects.

Let us know what you learn and how you do. If you have more questions, after you have done your homework, please post them on the BB.

Carefully read all of the other responses.
