Help Please with Candida parapsilosis!!!!!!!

I AM SO GLAD THE POSTS ARE WORKING!!!!!!!!!!Hi there - although my cdsa came back with no candida, my seperate parasite test came back with no parasites and a tiny +1 of candida parapsilosis. Last week I got a sore in my mouth and some thrush. I was told to take nystatin and garlic. garlic was the only natural substance showing no resistance on the report and the yeast was sensitve to it. nystatin was showing some resistance but the other drugs were itraconazole and ketoconazole. I know Dr. Walt prefers nystatin. HERES MY QUESTION - The surprise was that it seemed to help calm down the interstitial cystitis. Could I have yeast in my bladder? If so I don't want to develop resistance to nystatin and garlic. I know from this site that it's best to rotate candida remedies. I don't see anything about this particular yeast, and what to use. What else could I rotate with for this strain? should I rotate off the nystatin? (By the way, I can't use caprylic acid). I think I have resistance to olive leaf. I used it for over a year. I've been on the nyastatin and garlic for about 5 days now. Thanks for all your help! This is such a treasured resource to me!!!!!!!

Hi again - just thought it might help to tell you that the yeast sensitivity panel shows resistence to berberine, caprylic acid, undecylenic acid, plant tannins, uva-ursi. Only garlic came back sensistive. Thanks again! Andrea

Hi, Andrea.

First, remember that LGS is the cause behind any candida problem.

The answer to your first question is yes. HOWEVER, since bracing is the most common cause of both IC and LGS....

If you focus only on the candida.............

Hope this helps.

Walt

HI - thanks for your response Dr. Stoll - I am doing SR for the long term solution, but I am hoping for relief now in the short term, as the IC is torture. So I'm hoping that you, helping you or anyone else who knows, could point me towards a couple of things that could be alternated with nystatin and garlic that will kill candida parapsilosis. I don't want to develop resistance to garlic and nystatin, and give the candida buggers a stronger hold...I sure would appreciate the help because I've been on nystatin and garlic for 6 days today, and Helping you says 4 days should be max for one substance. (In my above postings I included the substances that great smokies said this strain is resistant to). Thanks for your help!!!!!!

I see that a poster named Shane responded to you above. I believe this is right on the money. However, if the infection is really bad, botanicals are often necessary to faciliate the removal of the organsism. I see it like this. Your intestinal tract is like a healthy garden. When the soil is healthy and the proper food and water are given, beautiful flowers grow. However, when the soil is poluted, not matter how much good food you provide, only weeds will be suitable to grow. LGS is allowing the candida to thrive. You must work at getting to the root of the LGS. Then, candida will be easier to deal with.

Try DC3, Biocidin, and oil of oregano (unless you listed that one). OregaMax might be the best brand for you as others often contain berberine.
