Thanks Walt, Candida I think

Posted by Soren on March 30, 2002 at 03:43:17:

Once again - thanks Walt. Thanks for your answer given below on the BB about gut irritation stuff. I think I have a strong candida - not sure 100 % though - but it's like my body wants all the candida feeding things. It's really bad at the moment. I wake up at night - 100 % clear in my6 mind and walk like some kind of food-zombie out to get something to eat. I am like: "MUUUUUUUUUUUUUST GEEEEEEEEET FOOOOOOD". I feel it is impossible not to do. Argh and that's not my spirit... damn it.
I don't know if it is because my candida is beeing killed at the moment (a kind of "candida fight back").

Well, just wanted to share this. Hope everyone out there are doing fine and getting help.

Peace

Soren

Are you doing something for the candida yet?
Diet, anti-fungals? SR?

Hey Barb as BB participant, what is SR? I see it in the response above and it was in Dr. Stolls response to my request. Thanks for the Email.

Dear Barb.

"Are you doing something for the candida yet?"

Answer: At the moment I am waiting for some results from a dysbiose test for the small intestine. I will get the results in about 1 - 2 weeks from now.

Taking the dysbiose test have been part of the strategy from the start and I am on MSM and hydrogen peroxide.

I have servel other symptoms and it's quite difficult for me to explain 'cause I do not have all the answers yet. But there have been reasons why I am not taking lots of candida killing herbs and so on.

Am I am on some kind of diet - a bit like SCD - although I am able to eat more than a person with Crohns ie. I do find it quite hard. I am not sure if I suffer from candida but I do hope so. If not - it cannot see why my am going berserk with strange food.

I know have to take care of my part of the "deal" with my health provider: I mean I am the only once who can carry out the right eating habits.

I do suffer from LGS, no friendly flora. No I do not practice SR.

I also wonder about if colon hydro terapi can be a help to me. It's quite expensive and if the colon are going "bad again" after the CHT I think it's a waste for me. Maybe someone out there have a view on this?

Regards

Soren

Hi Soren,
What are you doing for LGS? I have found that you really need to do SR for LGS! I have been on diet, exercise, supplements for a year......LGS is no better...Candida is gone...(hurray) I was slack in my SR. If you find out you have candida, you need to attack candida, then LGS. You can take Primal Defence for both at the same time.
If you have other quesitons Soren, you will need to post again. Walt must have missed your post.

Dear Barb

Thanks again.

I am only on MSM lignisul at the moment. And I am eating a kind of SCD food. I use supplements (vitamins, minerals, trace minerals ie) and expect to get answer from a dysbiose test soon.

How long does it take to heal LGS? I know this is a hard questions since ppl. are not the same and go on different diets, supplements ie. but can it be done in less than a year?
It's just that I have a hard time understanding what it really takes. When should I expect to feel better and so on...?

Regards

Hi Soren,
You do need to watch certain foods that you eat for LGS. It is suggested to take L-glutiamine, permavite, a good probiotic, and a good vitamen B. SR at least twice a day is a must for LGS. I did all the other things for LGS and slacked on the SR and I did not get rid of the LGS. How long does it take to get rid of LGS? Time to heal depends on the person. I cant say 6 months or even a year. It depends on you.
Labrat said it took (her) a year. BUT she definately knows its gone because all of her symtoms are gone. I have been working on it 6 months and I still have all the symptoms....
So, I am doing more SR.
When you find out what you have, post from the top and supporters can help you get started. Also you can learn alot from reading the other posts on LGS and Candida.
Hope this helps you some
Barb

Dear Barb.

Thanks a lot - I really appreciate your respond.

I will tell the BB about the test results when I get them within a week or two.

By the way: I have a hard time finding out if Fiber-supplements are GOOD OR BAD. (I know it also depends of which supplement) but when ppl. have DYSBIOSE - will the fibers feed the "BAD BUGS"? And then it should be avoided or...?

Kind regards

Soren, DK

Soren,

The cure for LGS (and subsequently C-RS) is understanding the process as well as you can. The purpose of this 'site is to give you that opportunity. That means a lot of study.

Actually DOING what you learn takes a lot more work so the learning is sort of a screening test as to whether you will actually do what will get you well.

IF you will not do the learning, which I have done my best to make available to you, you certainly will not do the DOING--at least until you have suffered enough to make it worth your while.

The problem with this approach has always been not that it does not work but will the person actually DO it.

Hope this helps. It may make you mad but perhaps you can use the energy that anger produces to get on with the learning.

Walt

Of course I try to understand what is going and of course it is my wish to do the right things I learn. And I have already learned a lot. And yes one thing is learning - another thing is doing so.

One of the great things about this site - I think - is the debate about products, LGS i.e. but SR have also been a quite good thing to read about. If had only heard little about Primal Defense, Flora Source i.e. before I came here. Great learning. Especially when these kind of info' is hard to get around here.

And Walt, I don't see why it should make me mad?! I try to learn what I can and then do my best.

Soren
