Lipomas: Any non-surgical success stories ?

Posted by Jeffrey M. on January 10, 2003 at 01:06:30:

Hello all. I am a mid 40s guy and have noticed quite a few lumps under my skin on my legs. Some of these are fairly large. My dermatologist diagnosed them as lipomas and said there was nothing short of surgery that I could do about them. They don't cause any pain, but I admit to feeling self conscious about them. - - I have read Dr. Stoll's suggestions on using EFAs and would like to know if anyone has had success reducing or eliminating their lipomas using this approach. If so, how long did it take to see the results? (I am also putting together my health/fitness plan including exercise & a healthy diet to take off the several pounds of excess fat that I've put on over the last few years.) - - - I would like to know if, in this case, I may ask too much from the use of EFAs and should expect to require the more costly surgical alternatives in order to gain satifactory results. I look forward to hearing from you who have experience with this. Thanks, - - Jeffrey M.

My dog has these and is taking the Chinese herb Chi Ko Curcoma (sp). It stopped the growth and they have regressed in size, but are now staying at that size.

Hope this helps, and good luck!
Bernadette

Hi, Jeffrey.

I have seen a few regress and disappear with the EFAs. Mainly they prevent new ones after a few months and as long as you continue taking them. Surgery is the only sure way I know for extant lesions.

I would be interested in hearing if Bernadette's Chinese Herb remedy works for humans.

Let us know how you do.

Walt

thanks, Jeffrey and Walt

I was under the impression that lipomas could be eliminated with the use of EFA's. Your question clarified this further.
