Long story short......about a month ago my brother-in-law started looking jaundiced. Lost 13 lbs in about 3-4 wks. Pain in liver area. Dr. scheduled tests. Mix up in office and tests were delayed. In mean time he started to look better, yellowing of skin went away and started to eat again. Now as of the last 2 days, he started to feel bad again, jaundice back. He doesn't look or feel good. DR. Stoll, what can this be?

Just a guess, sounds like hepatitis. Needs to get tests right away.

Hi, Leesa.
Listen to Barb.
I think it is time for a better doc. The first episode should have alerted the doc that a diagnosis was imperative.
See the liver archives for options and REAL liver function tests and not the liver death tests I am sure he has had from such a careless doc (in my opinion).
Remember, if the diagnosis is hepatitis, conventional medicine has no solution. The IV vitamin C is what I would do for myself. The alpha lipoic acid, milk thistle, etc. (archives) in the meantime to support the liver till then.
Let us know what you learn and how he does.
Walt
