Hey all,
I did my 2nd liver flush while the board was down last week. It went fine until about 10 hours later when I had one of the worst attacks I have ever had :( It wouldn't go away for 12 hours!
After that, I went to Mississippi to see my family. I just got back tonight. I had an awful attack every single night and it totally ruined my vacation.
I am so upset. The attacks hurt so badly that I was praying that a train would hit me. I am sick and tired of feeling like this so I have decided to have it taken out. Well, I may try one more flush and see if it works.
Needless to say, my faith is natural remedies has slowly, but surely fading to a non-belief.
I thank all who tried to help me a million times over!!!!!! I am just sick of being sick and I am afraid I am fighting something that is bound to happen anyway. I just want to have it taken out and not risk having the open surgery.

Hi Hope,
I have had my gallbladder removed after having done 4 flushes. The first flushes I drank I cup of olive oil mixed with one cup of lemon juice. The last flush, I drank 16 ounces of olive oil with an equal amount of lemon juice. So 32 ounces in all.
I passed many «stones» on each occasion. Some Doctors are of the opinion that the gallbaldder flush is a hoax, that oilve oil and lemon turn into the soapy «stones» found in the stools afterwards.
When the sugeon finally removed my gallbladder, through laparascopy, he had to slice it open, as it was so full of stones, he could not get it through the small incision. He had never seen a gallbladder as full...plus he had to scrape my abdomen, as inflammation had caused some damage.
I had about three classic gallbladder attacks, but suffered from a gnawing pain on my right side, near the liver. This pain was not caused by my gallbladder, but be FOOD ALLERGIES. Here is a write-up on the subject, and Dr. Jonathan Wright a reputable MD, who treats patients through alternative care suggests this protocol to his patients :
There's another interesting theory that links food allergies and gallbladder attacks. In 1948, Dr. J. C. Breneman began using a very successful regime to prevent gallbladder attacks based on his work with food allergies. Dr. Breneman holds that eating allergy-causing foods stimulates the swelling of the bile ducts. The swelling reduces the flow of bile from the gallbladder and causes the pain and other symptoms connected with a gallbladder attack. In one study, 100 percent of gallbladder patients were totally free from symptoms when they followed a basic allergy-elimination diet. The foods that most commonly produced symptoms in decreasing order of occurrence include eggs (93 percent of the patients reacted to eggs), pork, onions, fowl, milk, coffee, citrus, corn, beans, and nuts. Lucille found that eggs, corn, and citrus gave her symptoms anti eliminated them entirely from her diet. The connection between food allergy anti gallbladder attacks could account for the numerous people who have gallbladder surgery and are then dismayed to find that their symptoms are still a problem: Though the stones have been removed, the allergy-causing foods promote the swelling of the ducts and the symptoms.
If you have symptoms of gallbladder disease, you should definitely try going on an allergy-elimination diet to see if it will eliminate your symptoms. As you gradually reintroduce foods to your diet, watch carefully for reactions. It could well be that once you find the offending foods and cut them your diet, you'll be entirely free from symptoms.

In conlusion, removing my gallbladder did not resolve my pain. I would give an elimination diet a try, it is worth the effort, as a gallbladder is an essential part !
Good-luck.

Hi Hope, I feel so bad for you! I know how painful going through one gallbladder attack can be, I can't imagine going through what you have experienced! I have a friend who did a one flush and wasn't even able to finish it completely. Then she went on vacation and ended up in the ER in extreme pain. They ended up taking out her gallbladder. She was so full of infection they had to keep her in the hospital a week. She had pancreatitis? (I think thats what you call it.)
Keep a close watch on yourself!

You might also think of going to a Chinese herbalist - there are formulae for breaking down gallstones and encouraging expulsion. Good luck. Rib

Thanks, MJ.
Once the problem is far enough advanced, more radical solutions may be needed. You are right in that frequently symptoms recur even after a radical solution since removal does nothing about the actual causes.

has anyone ever compared the stone passed through a flush and the stones found inside of a removed gall bladder?

I have heard that people have done this before and that they were the same thing.
I know the ones I passed were stones because on #1 flush I got huge and green stones the size of .5 inch. On the second one I got about 10 very small ones. Same amount of oil and juice so I personally think that they are gallstones.
I just think either I had a bad flush because I took my oil drink 30 mins late. Also, you can wait too long and never turn back. I guess I will try one more and see how I feel.

I hope you do try another flush. I was disappointed to read your original post where you said you were going to go under the knife. Apparently you were speaking in the pain of the moment?
I so wish you to be successful.

Thank you! I also am hopeful I am successful.
These attacks have been so painful. I can just see my health falling as each day goes by. I am weak and always feel like I need to throw up. It is affecting my work (cant get a job because I have attacks that keep me up all night), my school work, and most importantly, my marriage. I have been suffering for 9 months now. I am really tired on it.
I have gone off of my triggers (the only thing that really use to get to me was steak), I am on a total whole foods diet, I rarely eat now because I am afraid, I have tried every medicine given to me by 3 different herbalists, a acupuncture specialist, and a website. I workout 4 times a week. I don't drink soda. I limit my sugar. I have done 2 flushes. I am just about to pull my hair out!!!!!
Sorry so long! I am just tired of it. I will keep everyone updated on when my next flush will be. Think it will be next weekend for sure. Thanks again :(

Hope - Do you have access to an acupunturist? Using one (a VERY experienced one at that) can help you along the way. Finding one to go to prior to your next flush would be a good idea.

I have only been to one. After I let her do the needles we talked more about my gallbladder. I was surprised to find out she thought the gallbladder was the bladder because she kept talking about my urine. Needless to say, I never went back to her. I need to call my insurance company and get another name and I will try again.
Thanks!

p.s. are you the one who said they drank something like 4 cups of olive oil? More isn't better and could cause you additional problems if the flush doesn't work.

Hi Hope,
Sounds like you are having a very rough time of it.
Have you tried castor oil packs over your gall bladder? It's an easy, gentle, non-invasive thing to try and it just might help settle things down. The instructions are almost certainly in the archives of this site, and if not, you can find more information on www.curezone.com.
I hope you can find something that helps before you do anything drastic and irreversible. I still have my gall bladder, but listen to the people who don't!
Wishing you the best,
Nutmeg

Hey Nutmeg,
YES! I do them everytime I have an attack and the attack usually stops in 30 minutes or less.
I just started them last week. I hope it makes it better!
Thanks :)
