Hi ya'll.
After being plagued with lack of energy and severe digestive problems, I Did SHAPE's recommendation of doing a Liver/Gallbladder flush after being recently diagnosed by a Gastro doc with Gallstones (Ultrasound?)
Wow! So far I've done two flush programs with simple applejuice, lemon juice and olive oil and you won't believe what came out! I stopped counting stones at a 1000. Most were very small to size of of a pea, but the second flush I got several larger, hard stones (yellowish green in color and hard wax like texture) that were about the size of a dime in diameter.
I have much more energy. The reflux has subsided SUBSTANTIALLY. The gas and upper back pains are almost gone.
I'm sure I need to some more flushes to completely get rid of stones and do away with my digestive problems.
Thanks all who take time to help out!
Phil

Oftentimes, the olive oils converted into little "soap beads" in the intestinal tract, and many people confuse these little beads with actual stones. It does not mean that what you are doing is not working though. Quite the opposite.

Hey Phil,
That's great! Glad you are feeling better.
Best wishes,

Do you have more information? Olive oil doesn't solidify above 76f (about).

Sure it can. When mixed with other chemicals, olive oil can saponify at above 90F, and become a soap-like solid.
In fact, that's how soap is made.

A cleansed bowl doesn't have "chemicals" in it.

No? I guess you must be talking about a different bowl then... the cotten bowl? or super bowl maybe, LOL.
But seriously, the one I assume we have been discussing is the human digestive tract, which excretes all sorts of chemicals to aid digestion, from acidic (stomach) to alkaline (gallbladder and the small instines) to neutral (pancreas/spleen) And, the more "cleansed" (as you put it) it is, the better it functions at producing these chemicals necessary for digestion. Right?
So coming back to the original issue, some of the more alkaline chemicals from the gallbladder/small instines get mixed with the large dose of olive oil and make some soap-like stuff, which the ignorant take as "stones." Riiiight.
Real gallbladder stones are very hard stones (like pebbles), not the soap-like stuff from the so-called "liver flush." Hello?
Those who don't do enough research or critical thinking just believe whatever they are told as the truth, even falsehood... A sad human reality, I guess.

Third time's a charm, eh holist?
Sometimes it is difficult to comprehend questions posed here, however this learner believes all questions have merit.
One method of a liver/gallbladder flush is fasting, epsom salts to empty the bowels, and then olive oil. If the bowels (bowls, bowels, bowls)are thoroughly cleansed, what digestion process is taking place in your small instines that's different from others? Do instines (ah hell...intestines)..Do they keep secreting chemicals to aid in the digestion of... nothing?
Haha...really...Do the chemicals think there's something to digest, make a mad rush for the guts, then get mixed up in some green sh*t?
And,since only real gallbladder stones are very hard like pebbles, do they begin as smaller stones or grains of sand that grow over time?
Thanks.

Not sure what "third time charm" you refer to. ?? Anyway, you stated:
Do they keep secreting chemicals to aid in the digestion of... nothing?
What do you mean by "nothing?" What about the large dose of olive oil? You call that nothing? So don't laugh so early, yet, CT.In fact, in order to process that an large amount of olive oil, the liver/gallbladder have to work real hard to produce enough chemicals (or, digestive juices) to counterbalance it.
About your last point, yes, the real stones start very small and gradually build up into larger ones. But they are stones of minerals, not softies like soap. So if real hard stones come out as a result of the cleanse, then great. But if soap-like stuff comes out, then it's a parlor trick, based on very simple and basic ideas of chemistry.

Holist:
Some gallstones are "cholesterol stones". There are different kinds of stones and not all are calcified. Some are soft.
I understand that some gallbladders also contain what doctors call "sludge", a nasty mix of cholesterol, crystals, and mucus (I think).

Yes! That is the whole point of the cleanse - making the liver/gallbladder "flush" out their contents. Regardless of your "theory", it does produce results for many, many people.

It's been a while since we started this conversation, so maybe it helps to refresh the memory a bit:
Let's see, we began this discussion when I pointed out the problem in your statement ˇ°Olive oil doesn't solidify above 76f (about),ˇ±and your subsequent misinformation that the digestive tract doesn't secrete anything after ingesting a good dose of olive oil (which implies the olive oil has no effect on the digestive tract, as you wrote: ˇ°Do they keep secreting chemicals to aid in the digestion of... nothing?ˇ±). Now you say that "the liver/gallbladder 'flush' out their contents."
Well, that ˇ°flushˇ± out content, when mixed with the ingested olive oil, can produce a soap-like solid that some people take as ˇ°stones.ˇ± But they are not. Real gallbladder stones are hard as rocks that can be detected by X-ray, but not the soap-like stuff.
And Phillylady, if they are not the same as the real gallbladder stones (calcified minerals, NOT soap-like material), then it's misleading and therefore wrong to call them ˇ°stones.ˇ±

Holist:
What do you call the cholesterol "pebbles" found in the gallbladder, the ones that are not calcified?
When surgeons remove a gallbladder and examine the contents, aren't those "pebbles" called stones, even though by your definition, they should not be called stones?
