Dr Stoll,
I checked the liver archives just as you advised in response to my previous post listing symptoms I'm still having AFTER gallbladder removal.
In the archives there was mention that you had advised Paulette (who no longer has her gallbladder and has the surgical clips) not to do a liver/gallbladder flush due to the sx clips (which I have). I could not find your exact post to her about this. Is this true? If so I'm concerned, as my CDSA has revealed severe dysbiosis, from which I can only assume (from looking at the archives) that I also have LGS, candida, parasites and most probably a sluggish liver. I've had MANY mysterious symptoms (perioral dermatitis, dizziness, fibromyalgia, digestive disturbances, etc)which I now know are due to these chronic conditions and I want to get my life back. Is it safe for me to detox the liver?
Paige

P.S. Dr. Stoll, forgot to ask if the liver flush will help this awful bitter bile (I'm assuming) reflux - didn't see that mentioned in the liver archives, unless I missed it. Can food sensitivities cause it? I'm worried it could be a bile duct blockage or tumor, although I'd think the MRCP or Catscan would have caught that.

hi
great to hear that you have gained such an understanding of these concepts as they relate to you! that already puts you many steps ahead of most everybody else ! thats great.
liver cleanses are not the only way to detox the liver. in fact, they are really only more useful for detoxing the liver of actual physical blockages of the tubes. detoxing the liver also covers getting out of the body accumulations of toxins that are causing chemical bottle-necks in pathways...a little different.
this is also very powerful ! this is done more gradually , by such measures as eating pure whole foods with lots of vegetables for nutritional support.
that method helped me to go from a page of wacky symptoms to just two within one week ! and results built and built in the years since, such that i have begun to forget jusyt how bad mnay of my symptoms actually were.
good luck.

Dr. Kim (a doctor who posts here sometimes) highly recommends products of this company. Since your gallbladder has been removed and the symptoms of a gallbladder dysfunction are still present, you may need to take bile salts to digest fats. BETA PLUS is a product from the same company that contains bile salts. Find it in their Order Products Online section.

Hi, Paige.
Thanks for bringing this up again since I thought I had made it plain in my previous notes. Apparently not.
A gallbladder flush obviously works a LOT differently IF the person has no gallbladder.
NOW, all one can do is work with the liver to enhance detoxification function and over-all liver function (which encompasses a lot more things than detox).
See the liver archives for these things and why: alpha-lipoic acid, silimatin and selenium in conjunction with caster oil packs.
Let us know what you learn and how you do.
