my fatty liver experiment results

Posted by Anthony on July 18, 2001 at 19:33:14:

I posted on 7/11/2001 about my background and my experiment and this was my doctors findings. I cant say this is the cure all for everyones situation, but you need to find a doctor who has the capacity to uncover your bodoes inner workings. In my situation I had elevated LFT's (the dead liver function tests)what was found was minerals were at extremely low levels especially magnesium. very low taurine and calcium. very low carnitine and very low B12, also very low omega 3's and 6's. And a very high mercury level. The remedy seems to be supplements from a reliable company called Metagenics and self administered injections of B12, also the actual liver function and detox was normal except for the sulphate path was off. The doctor suggested taking daily baths in 1 cup of epsom salt and 1cup of baking powder with 2 drops of lavender oil to increase sulphate absorption. Coincidentally my blood work including the liver function tests were normal for the first time in 9 years and i attribute alot of the credit to Sandra Cabots livatone plus liver tonic. Alt and Ast both at 27 from the mid 200s. Thru this web site i was able to find a well informed doctor and he in turn used some cutting edge labs such as spectra cell, meta metrix and great smokies. the latter was able to compile me a list of docs in my area including the one i used for my testing. Some of these results were a bit shocking to me especially the calcium because my bone mass is large and strong. dont rely on what you think is obvious find a reputable doctor and work at it, Good luck fatty liver sharers. Peace

Hey Anthony,

Could you e-mail me names of the tests you had and possibly contact info for the doc who helped you.

Thanks,

Davey

Davey
some of the tests i had done were. Comprehensive elemental hair analysis (hair), Amino Acid Analysis (blood & urine) comprehensive detox of the liver (urine and saliva)and a ion profile (individual optimal nutrition profile) (urine and blood)along with a complete blood count and a cardiac risk profile and of course the dead liver function tests. i contacted great smokies lab in ashville ,north carolina and they compiled a list of docs in my area. but my docotr asked me to please with hold his name.....but they had a supply of docs from all over.......good luck
