My sister with lupus is having some benefits from a colloidal mineral product sold by a Dr. Wallach - plant based vs. clay based - I am interested in it as well, but wonder if it would conflict with the PD I am taking for my RA related symptoms and reduction of LGS. All the supplemens I am taking are: L-glutamine, EFA's, PD, Glucosamine, and FYI (For Your Inflamation) - nothing else -I follow mostly whole foods diet (a great organic food store here in NYC - Healthy Pleasures) If either of you (or anyone else) would know of possible "interactions" or reasons not to take thi product I'd appreciate hearing about it.
Best wishes -

Actually the only one I can think of is that you will upset the ratio-balance of the
trace minerals taken in from foods that you eat. This should not be a problem
as you will simply excrete the excess. Your urine might turn funny colors...
The mention of Healthy Pleasures brought back fond
memories, everything except lugging "the booty" back to Queens.

I was looking for a trace mineral supplement and couldn't find one here in the netherlands. I did find one Colloidal Minerals product that's soil/clay based but haven't had the nerve to try it yet LOL So, can you keep us updated on your sister's results and also yours if you decide to use it?

Thanks, Rebecca NYC.
I envy you your "Healthy Pleasures" store. Here in the "deep south" we have nothing like that.
Your sister's experience with colloidal minerals is a great testimonial for the value of the personal laboratory we all carry around inside our skins: there are actually some people that get help with this product.
However, my suggestion would be that this benefit will be temporary and limited to a year or so. In the meantime, this is your sister's opportunity to learn about and apply a serious wellness program to extend those benefits and increase them.

Thanks - I may try the plant based minerals and report if there are benefits and if so, how lasting they are - I have read that the clay based minerals potentially have some ill effects to them - I will pass the info onto my sister, she uses the minerals only in baking a form of Hunza bread - perhaps I will try that too -

Hi. I see no problem with this. However, it should be noted that colloidal mineral preparations are not proven to be better absorbed than other tradtional mineral supplements. In my opinion, minerals in "IONIC" form are best but, if you are getting good results from this product, stay with it!!

Thanks...I'll be interested on how it goes. I went to that Dr's website and it seemed a bit cheesey LOL
