I was recently dx w/connective tissue disease/lupus and fibromyalgia. I am extremely hypersensitive to many foods at different times. I am at the point where I cannot take any asprin, ibroprofen, tylenol or anything related for pain, which all which causes asthma attacks and hives. I have had chronic hives for just over a year wich began in the palms of my hands, now I get them just about anywhere daily. I literally live on antihistamines, specifically Benedryl, because I react to Zertec and Allegra too. I also have recently had some severe asthma attacks requiring emergency medical attention with steroids. I've recently began treatment with a Chiropractor and found my addrenals are quite fatigued, along with finding some food sensitivities, through muscle testing and am now taking Cytozyme-AD, Oste-BPlus, and Bio-B 100 suppliments. This is helping with the asthma, etc. to some degree, along with spinal adjustments. I've been reading your book "Saving Yourself." Up to this point I have been treated Homeopathically, with some prior experimenting with steroids, which cause back and leg pain. I have read on some of the Lupus boards that it is not good to take too much vitamin c. I understand you say allergies do not begin in the palms... I have also been tested with fairly high titres of EBV, What am I dealing with here, can you help? I know this quite a lot but I need help... Thank you.
Linda
P.S. I'm also using compounded HRT transdermally as I am 49 and perimenopausal.

If you are not already doing this, I would look into supplementing with some omega-3 fatty acids (flaxseed or fish oil) -- anyone with an autoimmune order can most likely benefit from this, it has great immune regulating effects -- I take it for my autoimmune thyroiditis.
A thought about the pain -- maybe MSM might help. Some say it has also helped with their food allergies when taken with the meal.
You might try to find a yoga class, or something like tai chi? I find that my thyroid is healthiest when I'm doing my yoga -- I guess it's my version of skilled relaxation.
There's a supplement called Moducare that is supposed help regulate the immune system. I don't have experience with it, but I've been thinking about it.....
don't know if any of that is helpful, just a couple of thoughts

I visit, msm-msm.com. There is a Yahoo MSM club. I checked
it out but my browser or something won't let me register to
post but I can read. There is one run by Bill Rich I believe
I Think the URL is, billrich.com.

Hi, Linda.
You are going to have to become a better expert of the causes of your conditions (ALL of which are related to the same mechanisms) than any of your present docs are--not too difficult from what you are saying.
Spend a few days on the archives of this BB regarding ALL the different connective tissue diseases, bracing, LGS, Clinical Ecology, MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity), asthma, allergy, chronic hives, etc. Use the glossary for any unfamiliar terms and the search engine when you cannot find something.
I realize that this is a lot of work. However, your docs are not likely to do it for you and YOU are the one suffering. Just look at your history up to now! It is only going to get worse in the future unless, and until, you deal with WHY this is happening.
Let us know what you learn and if you still have any questions once you have done your homework.
THEN, as you get well, please take the time to share your experiences with the BB so others who have not progressed as far as you have will know that they have options their docs have not been telling them either.
