I have swollen nodes in my right groin area. Two years ago this happened and the Doc thought hernia I was put in the hospital overnight until cat and other test came back Neg. They sent me home. since then I have gotten sore there but no swelling . This time It swelled huge again very painful and sudden. I was treated with antibiotics but it took a week for an improvement. I had an ultrasound a couple of days aga. Results? My question is why does this reaccur in the some node all the time. Blood test are all fine. Should I have this removed and biopsied? I don't want to deal with this every few months.

Amy, I had problems with swollen nodes in the groin area too (with also chronic nodes on my neck). They still recur to lesser extent in my neck if I get run-down. What helped resolve my swollen groin nodes was exercising on my rebounder. Now I'm not a doctor so I can't tell you if yours should be removed and examined or not. But I found it reassuring that mine went away after a detoxification protocol including the rebounding

Thank You Jane-this will help her, a good detoxification and keeping her colon clean [especially important]; Trampoline is important, but alone it might not solve your problem. The two together is important. You might try using the trampoline 2-3 times a day for 15 min. each. I amazed at how many things again have cleared out of this body on my fasting this week already. It is amazing how many toxins one can pick up or let go of from the past.

Hi, Amy.
In my opinion, any competent phyycian can easily discover WHY recurrent lymph node enlargement, in the same area of the body, is happening. The cause must be eliminated to prevent recurrance! Find a better doc who cares more for you than the money.
Even without determining the exact cause, you can (guaranteed) eliminate the problem within a year by practicing serious wellness-->by letting the wisdom your bodymind solve this for you.
Listen to Terri-Lynn, June One and go to the archives for nodes and wellness.
Let us know what you learn & how you do.

Thanks for the input and I will visit the archives. Doc called yesterday and said the ultra sound said I had two very large lymphnodes. He had a wait and see response. If I'm still sore Mon. Call. Well the pain is almost gone and I dought there will be any Mon. But I know it will return. What should I tell the Doc. If wait and see makes me nervous?

Amy,
Recurrent nodes (this large) are not a "wait and see" they are a "time to make the diagnosis" as to causation.
I would opt for the biopsy and let us know what you learn.

OK here is where I am at. I spoke to a different Doc. who asked alot more questions about med history and symptoms. I have had Endometriosis and surgery 10 years ago also an angiogram about 4 years ago. Doc said it may be scar tissue that aggrivates it or my endometriosis is back because I oftem have Diarrea lately. About two weeks before cycle have alot of severe cramping that goes with this. This last lymphnode flareup happened a few hours before my cycle started. This Doc wants me to have a CatScan of my stomack to make sure that Endometriosis has not attached to colon. Does any of this make since to you? Can he really tell this by a CatScan? Thanks for your time

Congratulations, Amy, for finding a better doc.
Endometriosis is a pretty common cause of the nodes you are talking about.
At least he cared enough to take this seriously.
Take a look at the endometriosis archives.

For the past 6 months I have noticed a lump in my groin during my monthly cycle. It goes down until the next month. My father has non hodgkins lymphoma. I am scheduled to see a Doctor in a few weeks. Could this be something that is just hormonal.
thanks!

Well I can only speak for myself of course but. They have found a mass inside my right ovary and I will be having surgery soon to remove it. Although my pain in my lymphnode was on my left side during the vaginal ultrasound my left ovary could not be seen at all, It could have somehow attached itself to something and getting in the way of allowing the node to drain.I am also going to have this culprit hunted down and removed!. Even though I had no sign of Endometriosis this could also be a cause of pain in the nodes. Keep your chin up and keep me informed feel free to Email me direct.

Because I had severe endo and adhesions 10 years ago. The Drs. do feel that it would not be a good idea to keep my ovaries I have a cyst inside my right ovary and me left has adhered to my pelvic wall so they will be taking it all. Thay also said they were going to put this sheet of something or another along my pelvic wall it's a non-adhesive so that if there are cells left they will have a much tougher time attaching to another organ and growing. It is all just very overwhelming and pretty scary.
