Hi Dr Walt,
I am in Australia. I never had allergies (that I knew of) until 2
yers ago. I lived overseas for 1 1/2 yers in a rural area eating
FRESH chemical free food and within a month of my return I came down
sick. It seems like anything with a number does a number on me.
102 and 160B almost kill me, or at least I feel like I am going to
die from the reaction as I get vertigo and a depressed feeling and
hives from them.
I had to stop eating everything except a homemade vegan bread for
months because it was the only thing that didn't give me stomache
pains... CITRIC ACID was doing that one for me 330. It is so bad
that my tounge ulserates and it feels like that process continues all
the way through. Although it seems to build up for a week before
making me colloapse.
I feel like I have been sick now more on then off for the last 2
years.
Ok so we have decided to move to a house with floor boards instead of
carpet like here incase that will help at all because I am having
problems with touching as well as eating....cant touch anything that
contains CITRIC ACID, can you believe it! It is in almost everything
we eat and most soaps and shampoos. I figure carpets might be causing my blocked nose.
Oh well at least I have managed to pinpoint most of the problem
areas. Basicly if it has numbers on it I don't eat it.
My daughter seems to have the same problems as me, she is 4 and has
always been rather active, doesn't listen, bouncing on wall etc... a
bit of a worry. Recently I put my foot down and banned cordial from
my house and I refuse to 'poison' my family anymore with this rubbish
(guess howmany spices have 160B and 102 in them). Guess what? She
has changed! She and I have been getting along beautifully, shes
polite, helpful (!) and quiet. She is even listening to me!
So the last 2 weeks have been fantastic. I recovered from a week in
bed after trying a new avon night cream and since then I was ok.
Until yesterday that is. Like I said we are looking for a new
place. Hubby came home we were fine. I had made rice pudding. We
talked for a while and everything was fine, then I flipped out. No
reason, even I didn't know why I was angry. I am not usually an
angry type but I screamed the house down in an irrational rage. It
lasted about 30 minutes and then I sat up most of the night wondering
why I had scared the hell out of everyone. My daughter also went of
with the fairies and I didn't get her to sleep until very late as
well. I woke up this morning with hives, I had sort of guessed it
was a chemical reaction. I get 'rage' from 311, fortunatly I found
out what it was (after 6 months of this temper) and dropped it. But
I have been really eatting properly, emptied my cuboards of numbered
food etc. So what happened? Well after a big search I found the
cultprit (I think) and it was 202 in vanilla in the rice pudding. So
much for homemade, you would think vanilla would be vanilla.
I have to tell you I am sick to death of all this, hubby and I are
thinking of saving up and going feral.. I can't eat eggs at all (do
they feed them YELLOW colours) so I may have to get my own.
I think I know what started all this, a friend of mine committed suicide by gasing himself with propane. I found the body and the smell hit me in the fac really hard. I haven't smelt anything properly since then, some smells are so strong I cant bare them like cigerette smoke (I was a heavy smoker and gave up after my friend killed himself). Most of the time I can't smell anything at all.
Any advise?
Jo

I'm not exactly sure what your asking.
What are these numbers you're talking about?

Hi, Jo.
Be sure to tell "uh" that your numbers are like "Red Dye #7" etc. At least that one has been in the media enough in the USA for her to understand.
Of course, your problem is MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity) see the archives and the glossary. Since the susceptibility to this is genetic, and each generation is getting it earlier and earlier, it is essential that you nip it in the bud for your child while you are eliminating it in yourself as well.
Since LGS & candida are the most common aggravating factors, that you can do something about, you need to be looking at those archives as well.
The basic thing you need to do is serious wellness while avoiding any stuff you KNOW causes you a problem in the meantime. For your child, at least a perfect whole foods diet at once.
Let us know what you learn and how you do.
Walt
