I am specifically looking for information I can use to document my sensitivity to the noise from a boiler unit under my apartment. It is a 12 unit building. The noise is constant and intolerable and needs to be soundproofed but management won't consider unless I have some documentation as to the adverse effects of repetitive noise on the chemically sensitive. I am on Section 8 HUD.

I have has both MCS and food sensitivities
and I can't say that MCS made me sound
sensitive but the stabing headaches that I
got from the reactions to foods made sounds
unbearable but noise is stressful and I have
felt extra sensitive to it often. Any time
we don't feel good, anything that stresses us
will cause discomfort. Would be good if you
could move since that would solve the problem

Yes, I believe that the mechanisms that cause the MCS and stored strees can do this. I have CFIDS, FMS and MCS. I am slowly regaining my health. As I get better so does my sensitivity to noise as well as food and enviromental sensitivities. I would suggest you find an alternative medicine practitioner to help you. It is a long road to wellness but the alternative to wellness is not a good one. Also an accupuncturist might be able to help you short term I really recommend that you start SR right away.
You need to get a handle on this asap.

Hi, Judith.
Listen to dmaryd & Vince F.
Whenever anyone gets so close to the edge of their cliff that they have MCS, of course they will be intolerant of ANY additional environmental stressors.
The solution is not to retreat into a padded glass box but to practice serious wellness to help your bodymind cope with more things. In the meantime, self-hypnosis would eliminate the boiler noise for a long time.
Let us know how you do.
