TRADE SECRETS

Posted by OK on February 03, 2001 at 21:37:46:

TRADE SECRETS
On Monday night, March 26th, public television
will air a groundbreaking investigative report
on the chemical industry.

In TRADE SECRETS: A MOYERS REPORT correspondent
Bill Moyers and producer Sherry Jones uncover how
our health and safety have been put at risk and
why powerful forces don't want the truth to be
known. This investigative report, accompanied by a
PBS.org Web site, is based on a massive archive of
secret industry documents as shocking as the
"tobacco papers."

TRADE SECRETS provides everyone working on toxic
chemicals and environmental health issues a
tremendous education and outreach opportunity. To
help maximize that opportunity, the Environmental
Health Fund, the Environmental Working Group, the
Center for Health, Environment and Justice and
Women's Voices For the Earth are launching Coming
Clean, a project aimed at cleaning up the chemical
industry's contamination of our food, our bodies
and our environment.

Coming Clean is working with groups across the
country to organize local TRADE SECRETS viewing
events.

OK, thanks for the heads up on this. Bill Moyers does some of the best work on television and this sounds interesting. I hope everyone who has read about the stress effect due to chemicals and the controversies over contaminants in our food supply will mark their calendars to watch this. I know I will.

Moyers- completely lacking in objectivity

Ah yes, Mr. Moyers, patron saint of ranting at the "establishment".

Get around the liberal campfire and after Joan Baez sings about Caesar Chavez and Ramsey Clark fulminates against everything, Bill can mislead.

What is with liberals? Must someone always be doing it to them?

What is it with conservatives? Why are they so paranoid that someone might open their eyes and actually, dare I say, CHANGE things for the better?

It's just that we conservatives know from experience what liars and hypocrites the liberals are. Oh, except for Billy Clinton and Jesse, I mean...

Having seen Moyers treatment of a number of topics, I conclude he is completely lacking in objectivity.

He brings an extensive liberal slant to everything and as a result, whatever he says is at best anecdotal.

Now conservatives, like liberals, enjoy a rousing tale from their standard bearers. Logical people can make up their own minds.

I wouldn't group Moyers with other liberal wackos

Hello.
I must say that I agree with your statement about most reporters lact of objectivity and extreme liberal bias. e.g. how anyone can support the Clinton administration without holding their nose is a real accomplishment.

But Bill Moyers is a pretty good guy. I listened to his examination of "Chi" and it was fantastic. I would be interested to hear any report that he does.
