Dr Stoll, Im 46 and hve suffered with sever cramps from my period since I frst started at 13. I usually get bad pain every other month. My periods have always been like clockwork. Within 24 hours of starting (this has happened for the past 2 years) I get SEVERE sharp pain right on/in my vagina lasting a few moments to the point where if Im standing I just freeze, cant move, then within a day, I start. The cramps I have experienced all my life include low back, low abdomen, right thigh only, the crease where my hip and leg meet, and in my vagina. Could I possibly have dysmennorrhea? Is there anyway this can be proven? Thank you

Hi, Chris.
The DEFINITION of dysmenorrhea is what you have described!
Does your dysmenorrhea only last a few moments like you have described or do your symptoms start like this and then last for a period of time (most common type).

The pain lasts about 3 days, my period lasts 6 days.

I'm not a doctor, i am a intuitive, Kinesiologist;
Solutions is the Key!
Now, intuitively i feel that you need to cut back off wheat and get some colonics and have some body work on your leg on the right side; Taking something like MSM. would not hurt either; Do you get constipated or the opposite? It feels also that you need a good bacteria. The other thing that use to help me through the pain, before i got big into life styule changes, was bio chemic tissue salts, number 4 and #8- look in there little book; Emotional issue around our senuality is another area to look into; Read the Women to Women book that Christine Northrup puts out perhaps; Seek and you shall find!

Hi, Chris.
Then this is the most common pattern of dysmenorrhea.
Candida is the most common, correctable, cause of chronic dysmenorrhea.
Pelvic congestion syndrome is the second most common correctable cause.
Any Chiropractor who has a Pulsed Diathermy machine in her office could eliminate the cramps in 20 minutes with a treatment. The setting is 12X12 for 20 minutes. I have done that routinely for 20 years in my office. The treatment must be done with each episode of the dysmenorrhea since it only eliminates the cramps and does nothing about the cause. Of course, any health-care professional might have a machine in his office but the Chiropractors seem to be the most advanced in this area.
Let us know how you do.

Orgasms will relieve the pelvic congestion. Try to bring yourself (or have your partner do it) to orgasm several times. This must be done while you are actually having the cramps. It will relieve the congestion and you will definitely feel better.

Thanks, Alexandra.
Right on!
I have recommended orgasm for pelvic congestion for 40 years. Intercourse, or even sexual excitement, without orgasm is the most common cause of pelvic congestion and the second most common cause is muscle tension (bracing) of the levator ani.
Namaste`
