Hi Dr. Stoll,

Thanks for posting this. I'd have to see a sample chapter before I bought it, though :)

The other materials I have read, both on-line and in book form, have definitely made a link between mercury amalgams and autoimmune diseases. I think dental mercury has played a significant role in the decline of my health, and especially in preventing my full recovery from chronic conditions. Same for my husband, with maybe even a stronger cause & effect relationship. My amalgam replacement is done & his is half done and already we have seen hopeful improvements. Time will tell if dental revision will make the big difference we are hoping for. It certainly is an expensive experiment.

Thanks,
Nutmeg

Although my dentist hasn't been promoting getting my -- oh, so many -- murcery-laden fillings replaced, I'm in the process of having him do so. He has, however, told me that there have been positive results for people with MS who have had their amalgams replaced with non-mercury fillings.

Both the NIH and the FDA have reports that acknowledge there is not yet enough comprehensive data available to definitively state that amalgam and other dental restorative materials are absolutely safe. Thus, research continues on the release of mercury vapor from amalgam and how it interacts with the body. But, still it is allowed as a material to be put into people. I thought everything had to be proved safe before the FDA will allow it out to the public. Isn't that the stance they are taking with herbal supplements and vitamins? That they're not proved safe so they have to protect the public from them?

Hello,

I've been thinking about having this done myself. How, though, do I go about finding a dentist that is skilled in doing it correctly? It just all seems so complicated. (my life is already complicated; so, this scares me..lol)

Thanx {:o)

Mine are in the process of coming out and being replaced with porcelain fillings. I've had Thyroidism for years and recall the symptoms beginning at about the same time as I started having the amalgam fillings put in. I was only about 12yrs old at that time and I've had a lifetime of seemingly-unrelated problems. So far I've had no problems after having amalgams removed, though I'm not sure that my dentist uses any particular precautions when he does the work. But it's an ongoing process and I'll post any strange happenings.

I asked my doctor who he could recommend. He's an MD with a holistic approach and had his own done in the last couple fo years. He gave me 3 names, so I called them all to discuss it. The receptionists were very helpful. Made appointments with 2 of them for an evaluation and estimate, asked a lot of questions, and picked the one that seemed right for me. He does not use any mercury in his practice, and takes a lot of continuing education classes on all aspects of dentistry, including amalgam replacement and compatibility of composite filling materials. My doctor gave me some supplements to use for detox before and during the whole replacement process.

If you are seriously thinking of doing this, I suggest you read everything you can find about dental mercury and detoxing, including the archives on this website, recent posts, books, and online materials. You will also need to find a doctor who can assist you with a detox protocol, including chelation therapy.

I don't know if my experiences have been archived, but I posted updates throughout my whole process. Use the date search function to check back to mid-February, around the 10th of March, and just a few days ago (my last removal was on April 3rd), if the posts are still available that far back.

Wishing you the best,
Nutmeg

Thanks, Nutmeg.

The entire thing is available free at that address. It only takes 94 sheets of paper in your printer.

Dr. Stoll,

Apparently I didn't linger long enough to see that it was free, just assumed it could only be downloaded for a fee. I will check it out.

Thanks,
Nutmeg
