Re: Mercury Removal part 2

Everyone,

It took me a while to get back on a computer that works to update everyone. I went in a week and a half ago to get Electrodermal testing to substatiate a high heavy metal reading on a hair test and to get Chelation agent sensitivity testing. The test scored me with an 81 in mercury and 74 in cadmium and 71 in nickel, with my baseline being 51 and a normal reading being between 55-65. The following day I had my first appointment with the highly recommended hollistic dental surgeon. She gave my teeth a cleaning and at my request scheduled me in for the next possible appointment to get the first amalgam removed. I had two large amalgams in my two bottom mollars. She will only perform work on one side of a patient's mouth at once, as this is the hollistic approach. Two days later I had the removal with rubber dam and recommended precautions. It went smoothly. I followed this by a Vitamin C drip at my MD's clinic that same day. It will be a week since my first amalgam removal tomorrow and I must say I have noticed some positive results already. First and foremost I feel a sense of calm and relief of tension throughout my body, I have a greater clarity of thoughts, and many of my persistant sypmtoms have improved all of a sudden. I realize it is too early to be definitive, that being said I was not expecting to notice any difference after either procedure and certainly not after only the first. I am scheduled to have my second and last amalgam removed on the 27th and I can't wait. When my home computer gets repaired I will list my complete background and battle with chronic illness for the past 10 years. I know that it is very early to state anything for certain but I definitely feel this may be one of the major underlying causes for my LGS/Candida and why I have never been able to get my system back in balance. After this second and final removal I will go through chelation therapy guided by my doctor(who specializes in this area). I would love to hear anyone's experiences with Chelation therapy specifically anyone who has experience with DPMS as there is little on this site about that particular synthetic chelator. Although on the web I notice some unfavourable reports on it's side effects. That being said this is only but one of my doctor's agents and may not even be the one that he recommends for me. Dr. Stoll you have an uncanny way of being consistently prophetic. I keep hearing or seeing your repeated posts of "You must uncover and deal with the underlying cause of LGS" and "often the last thing a patient chooses to do is the one thing that will bring them to health" - I butchered that last one but I am a bit shorthanded here on a borrowed terminal and limited time. Thanks in advance and I look foward to any and all feedback.

Regards,

HAGAN

Hi there,
Thank you for posting.
How did the dam work? It doesn't make you gag?
I didn't see your part one but was curious how many amalgams you had and how long have you had them?
Keep the updates coming. I am having an amalgam replaced in a couple of weeks. It is one of eight huge ones.
Take care,
W

W,

The Dam worked well it was a bit uncomfortable but no gaging, and this was on the back bottom mollar so I would presume this would be the worst location for discomfort. I had two amalgams placed 10 years ago when I was 17 - the two bottom back mollars. Quickly after having them placed I was exposed to Candida(thru sexual contact) and it went down hill from there eventually to full blow LGS/Candida and Heavy metal toxicity. I went into this process(heavy metal detox) knowing that I may not receive any benefit and mid way thru I am already amazed and very pleased with the all the benefits from physical to mental. Obviously getting the proper background info on the dentist is most important. The actual removal is a fairly quick and relatively painless process. I can't wait to get the last of that poision out of my mouth. I will keep you posted. What is your story? Have you been tested for Heavy metals? Are you working with an MD to chelate afterwards?

Craig,

Thanks for posting your results I am starting the exact same process. My 1st appointment is next week to get my fillings out. Where did your recieve heavy metal testing?
I too have suffered with candida/LGS for the last 5 years and I've had many ups and downs. I recently went to a woman who does biofeedback to determine the stengths and weaknesses in your body.
The heaviest load and biggest stressor for me was in my mouth I have had 3 root canals and 8 fillings.I don't know too much about the chelation process but the dentsit I am seeing was trained by Dr Huggins so hopefully he willl have more answers.

Keep us allposted--if you ave part1 of your story please re-post THANKS!!!

Thanks for the information.
I had all eight of my amalgams replaced 15 years ago...with amalgam. I had no idea it was so toxic. ;(

I have bouts of extreme fatigue and a poor appetite. Along with dysautonomia.

So I am having my first amalgam removed in two weeks. While this Dentist is recommended by a holistic Doc, I am not going through any pre or post process....Just having one removed to start....there is a cavity under it.

CM,

I first received a hair mineral analysis as part of the initial work-up my doctor (both MD & ND) did. This showed high mercury and was substantiated by electrodermal testing for heavy metals(at the same time I was tested for compatibility with chelation agents).
