Dr Stoll, could using an ultrasonic tooth brush cause release of Hg into my system. The timing of my hives is around the time that I started using this type of toothbrush. I could just stop using it, but wondered if this is a possibility and is what put me over the cliff. I know that you can weld metals with the vibration of an ultrasonic welder. Maybe just getting this source close to my fillings is having some effect. Has there been any dialogue around this.

You bet, Bob!
The very thing that makes ultrasonics work to clean your teeth would release a lot of mercury. You KNOW, of course, of the ultrasonic silver jewelry cleaners??
However, IF your symptoms are due to the increased amount of mercury in your system, just getting rid of the ultrasonic toothbrush will not stop your symptoms. You would have to be hypersensitive to mercury for this to happen and your symptoms are an indication that that sensitivity has just been pushed over the edge.
You are going to have to unburden yourself of the mercury in your system. You can't blame the toothbrush company for this, however, this would have happened later on anyhow. All the toothbrush did was have it happen sooner.
Have you been tested to determine that mercury IS your problem?
Walt
