here is a lot of misconception about Carpal Tunel injury.
Carpal Tunel is not aused by repetitive stress!
Carpal Tunel is a NEUROTOXIC injury caused by dental mercury amalgam fillings!
The injured because of NEUROTOXICITY nerves are only becoming aggravated by repetitive stress secondary to neurotoxuic poisoning!
Same applies to computer vision problem, erectile dysfunction disorder, and diagnosis of alleged night swats and menopause.
Many need to understand thatGulf War Illness is a mercury poisoning after chemical reaction between Hydrogen Sulfide which leaked from burning oil wells and reacted in nhot climate with dental mercury fillings causing accute poisoning by both agents.
In addition the service men received boost of dangerous levels of mercury with vaccines which contained Thimerosal (50% of mercury!).
Mercury and hydrogen sulfide poisoning are very poorly understood!
See: http://www.mapoison.org/ctr/9904hydrogensulfide.html
Lots of confuions is made becaus medical profession is flatelly speaking to stupid to analyze the toxic poisonings!
SPECT Study in PGW Veterans with Chemical Sensitivities
One small study (six cases, six controls) performed SPECT scanning (a method for looking at regional cerebral blood flow) on six male PGW veterans "with chemical sensitivities" and six controls reportedly determined not to have toxic exposures. Abnormalities were reported in all six SPECT reports from PGW veterans with sensitivities (abnormalities were classified as mild in one, moderate in two, and severe in three), while all six reports from controls were read as normal. Soft tissue diversion was noted in three cases (but no controls), lobar discrepancies in three cases (and one control), focal findings in five cases (and one control), and phase mismatching in four cases (and one control). Findings in all PGW veterans were noted to be similar to those seen in patients with known exposure to widely recognized neurotoxins "including petroleum distillates and pesticides" (Simon, Hickey, et al., 1994). (Indeed, qualitative and quantitative SPECT performed on patients with OP pesticide and solvent exposures have demonstrated abnormalities despite nondiagnostic MRI brain scans--abnormalities that are reportedly distinct from the findings seen with depression and "late-life chronic fatigue syndrome." (Heuser, Mena, et al., 1994).) SPECT is regarded by some as a "sensitive and potent" indicator of CNS function impairment after neurotoxic exposure (Heuser, Mena, et al., 1994). However, specificity remains an issue, because SPECT abnormalities may occur in many conditions, including depression. Of note, it has been suggested that focal cortical hypoperfusion with limited temporal lobe involvement may suggest a direct cortical effect of neurotoxins, rather than a limbic effect suggested in the kindling hypothesis.
The reported SPECT findings in PGW veterans may have important implications if they can be replicated in a larger, more carefully controlled study, but the present study has significant limitations. The sample was extremely small; subject selection procedures, including criteria for "chemical sensitivity," were not clearly delineated; the SPECT readings were qualitative and not stated to be blinded; no primary outcome variable was identified; and no statistics were offered. Moreover, results in all veterans with chemical sensitivities might not be reflective of results in other ill veterans; the estimate of 78 percent of ill veterans with new sensitivities, cited previously, might not reflect values in larger samples of veterans or ill veterans, and criteria for chemical sensitivity may differ from those in the present study. Therefore, these findings, while intriguing, must be viewed as preliminary. Nonetheless, attempts should be made to replicate the finding of SPECT abnormalities in the form of focal hypoperfusion and to extend this work by ascertaining if these defects are selectively enhanced when patients are symptomatic following reexposure to an offending chemical, to determine whether SPECT scanning could offer a much needed, if costly, objective marker for chemical sensitivity.
The screwing around by alleged experts to be paid for idiotic research is a main problem with poper diagnosis of mercury poisoning!

Not that I dont doubt that multiple chemical sensitivities can cause these symptoms.
I think there are alot of 'things' that can cause various symptoms.
Ever look at the list that candida causes? If you read that and suffered from something you might say to your self; oh I got candida.
You are telling people that carpel tunnel is caused by fillings. Quite a bold statement.
I disagree; how can you diagnois every case of carpel tunnel with the same diagnosis?

I have no doubt that mercury contributes to these conditions. However, the day of single causes for single conditions is gone forever--if it was ever truly here.

First of all candida is secondary to mercury!
You may disagree untill you study neurotoxicology.
The average Carpal Tunel surgery cost between # 3,500 to $ 5,000 dollars. So whu not ....
The problem is caused by nerve damage when nerve becomes hypersensitive, and ONLY than the repetitice stress aggravates the injured nerve.
Othe causes are of course fluoride in drinking water and organophosphates, as severe neurotoxic agents.
However dental mercury scandal resulted that some people have "half" pound of poison in their mouth while never had any repetitive stress and developed severe carpal tunel.
If you disagree with me that is your decision, however 20 years from now when people will revolte and there will be no more mercury fillings (give 5 more years for its total ban in US) you will realize that the diagnosis of carpal tunel will completely phase out, (be gone).
IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY, THAT IS THAT BOTTOM LINE COUNTS!
If not for mercury, fluoride in the water and pesticides, many doctors will be homeless leaving under bridges unless get the real job....!

And what does fluoride in the water cause? It looks as though you already diagnosed all of the other diseases ever known to man to mercury, what does the fluoride have a chance to cause?
I agree with Dr. Stoll, the days of blaming diseases on a single cause are long over. I have mercury amalgams (6 to be precise), I've used a computer for 20 years, and had to type literally thousands of pages of documents in my job as a technical writer. I've never had any carpal tunnel symptoms. Because MY BODY is not weak in that area. That's the PRIMARY cause of the problems. Mercury might help (and probably a million other things) move it along, but it's genetics that cause our inevitable weaknesses, wherever they may be.

Great for you. If you want to argue argue with your dentists not with me!
You are technical writer as you said, I am technical industrial process specialist who worked in toxic environments and also conducted bio chemical tests.
You know nothing yet so you can only learn from me. Apparently there is a reason that you hang around here because it apears that you want to learn.
I can answr the questions but I do not intend to get in pissing contest with you or others. if you want you can learn from me. If you want act foolish than you can burry your self and I couldn't care any more, that is your choice.
I am trying to ban use of mercury in dental (and other) application, and it is only a matter of time.
So take it or leave it but do not challenge me on issues about you have no slightest idea.
I already won one major legal case without using attorneys, as theywere not qualified and only lied with every second, I adviced and consulted several people who following my instructions also succseeded in court, so I am not a dummy as you can imagine, while I am going now against most experienced attorneys in personal injury case, and I plan to make the running with their tails in their asses. They have not seen nothing yet as this. I am at least 2 decades ahead of all medical commercial scams!
So your personal opinion mean nothing to me.
The fact that you do not know what fluoride causes does not man that I have to bend myself in front of you.
Make your damn research! I participated in first in the nation law which banned fluoridation of water because of neurotoxic reactions it causes in me as resultonurlogical injury. The penalty for fluoriditiom of water is no established now at up to $ 25,000 per day for any one who will poison drinking water with fluoride. It is the first such law in the nation!
Being technical writer you read what others wrote and you write what you feel, you do not have same experience as I have, so you can slow down with your comments.
I am not here to argue with you, as I have better things to do. But If I can save one person from injuries I will be happy.
As far as fluoride it is well known toxic waste and severe neurotoxin. The scam with fluoride was orchestrated by chemical industry to avoid fees for disposal of toxic waste, and they poisoned the water, wild fish, and wild marine life by water fluoridation, which are born with legs instead of tail, dual heads, damaged spines, and bi-sex.
I wasn't using computer, and I had no repetitive stress,I wasn't aslo eating tuna. You do not realize that mercury fillings with time starts coroding very slowly.
Six mercury fillings that is six to many.
I had only one large, 2 medium, and 3 small.
Mercury react with sulfides, but reactivity of mercury is increased by acidity. Activated charcoal is saturated with sulfides in an industrial process is used to remove mercury from toxic waste.
In my case toxic exposures to hydrogen sulfide caused severe acidosis which as a combination of sulfides and acidity exploded as a time bomb.
It started with Multiple chemical Sensitivity, severe pain in Achilles, severe photosensitivity, respiratory problems, cramping of he calves, severe pain of Carpal tunel, than metallic taste, swollen salivary glands, bleeding f gums and severe electrolysis and galvanic corrosion in the mouth.
Any metal utensils caused literally electric shock.
Later I developed severe pain in my knees, siffness of all joints, lower back pain and autoimmune disorder confirmed by ANA titer, with severe all joints bursitis (including vertebrae!) and my legs were literally buckling under me. Than I developped Parkinson's with numbness of arme, legs, and attacks of dizziness.
Than mercury completelly disolved from all fillings.
The teeth with mercury cracked open, and remaining mercury was removed than.
After this the Parkinson's reversed, but neurospasms are still present.
Iknow to what I was exposed, and I know and fully understand the mechanism of injury.
Further the damage to cytochrome oxidise caused oxygen starvation of brain, and swelling of capilary brain tissue in combination with constriction of blood vessels as result of mercury toxicity (neurotoxicity).
Furher the oxygen starvation caused brain injury by
causing degenerative death of brain cells as result of lack of oxygen. This caused organic brain disorder known as toxic encephalopathy.
TSE was confirmed by celebral blood flow tests using brain SPECT scan confirming injury to both frontal lobes, and righ and left anterior lobe.
I have severe deficiency of short term memory, problems with balance and severe pain inside the brain.
Ocasionally after exposures to neurotoxins or odors I get severe headaches which will last for 3-4 days!
The olfactory nerves became oversensitive as my sense of smell is extreme, I smell all as far a "mile" a way.
My body does not control temperature, causing constant sweating!
I was diagnosed with MCS/CFIDS/FMS/IBD and 100 other laughable diagnosis.
I and my doctor we spend numerous hours on decoding the injury and every possible medical test was made!
SPECT scan confirmed also what I do believe is same injury as Gulf War Syndrome.
I dealt on this issue with morons from Pentagon and this is their answer:
"Summers (1994) has proposed that set of unexplained symptoms in PGW veterans (skin rashes, chronic fatigue, headaches, sore joints, hair loss, irritability, insomnia, diarrhea, and depression) are related to mercury toxicity as result of installation of dental amalgams just prior to or immediately after service in PGW. This hipotesis asserts that installation of these amalgams resulted in clinically evident elemental mercury toxicity that continues as patients have ongoing exposure to mercury.
It is clear that the placement of dental amalgams results in systemic exposure to mercury (Gross and Harrisson, 1989;
Researchers suggest that Gulf War veterans and others who meet the diagnostic criteria for more than one
of CFS, FMS and/or MCS may all be suffering from dental amalgam poisoning but as yet not undefined common
syndrome. Summers et al. 1993). It is also clear that significant exposure to elemental mercury results in toxic syndrome with complex clinical presentation (Wyngaarden et al. 1992.) At the same time, relatively few human studies of adverse effects of amalgams have been done. Interest in diminishing elemental mercury exposure has resulted in proposals in Sweden, Denmark and Germany for restrictions on the use of mercury - containing dental amalgams.
To date, the hypothesis of unexplained symptoms in PGW veterans associated with the recent installation of dental amalgams has not been directly investigated to the best of our knowledge."

HEALTH EFFECTS
Effects of exposure may be delayed. [USCG, 19851 Acute poisoning may result from inhalation of vapors of elemental mercury. If poisoning occurs by inhalation of fumes of metallic mercury, the syndrome is characterized by pneumonitis, lethargy or restlessness, fever, tachypnea, cough, chest pain, cyanosis, diarrhea & vomiting; atelectasisd emphysema, hemorrhage & pneumothorax often follow. Systemic effects of the poison start within a few hours & may last for days; death may ensue. Systemic signs of acute poisoning by elemental mercury include those referable to CNS.
[GOODMAN. PHARN BASIS THERAP 6TH ED 19801
The condition is characterized by metallic taste, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, & sometimes albuminuria. After few days, salivary glands swell, stomatitis & gingivitis develop, & a dark line of mercury sulfide forms on inflamed gums. Teeth may loosen, & ulcers may form on lips & cheeks. In milder cases, recovery occurs within 10-14 days, but in others, poisoning of chronic type may ensue. Some of acute cases have resulted from exposure concentration of 1.2 to 8.5 ml Hg~cu m. [PATTY. Slightly elevated temperature, shallow respiration, general malaise, & pleuritic chest pain, with shortness of breath for 24 hr. Pulmonary function may be reduced.
The most consistent & pronounced effects of chronic exposure to elemental mercury vapor are on CNS. Effects are neurological & psychiatric. Common symptoms include depression, irritability, exaggerated response to stimulation (erethism), excessive shyness, insomnia, emotional instability, forgetfulness, Confusion, & vasomotor disturbances such as excessive perspiration & uncontrolled blushing. Tremors are also common; these are exaggerated when task is required but minimal when patient is at rest or asleep. A fine trembling of fingers, eyelids, lips, & tongue may be interrupted intermittently by coarse shaking movements. Erethism & tremors may be reversible.[GOODMAN. PHARN BASIS THERAP 6TH ED 19801

we have undergone presumably over five million years of natural selection in human development, but the most fundamental waeknesses remain universally with us ?
this cannot be.
the progress of life -- natural selection-- makes for the passing on of stronger and ever stronger genes...over millions of years, we would see fewer and fewer diaseases if they were in our genes. yet new diseases are noted all the time...our genes cannot be getting weaker overall (notwithstanding the last 80 years of limited personal chemcial pollution).
if genetics caused our weaknesses, would it be so easy to defeat them entirely with a diet or with just new habbits or exercise ? or even with a few cuts and shots of radiation or chemicals ?
if its genetics, how could the force of nature be overturned so simply ?
thousands of people cured of cancer in days on the macrobiotic diet...constant testimonials here of conditions and diseases overcome with s/r some diet work and exercise... arthritis overcome by a diet alone...
tumors gone after eating certain vegetables...
even the short sightedness of conventional appraoches provide a perspective to refute genetics as the weak link. if cancer were in your genes, why would just cutting it out halt it ? wouldnt it come back ? cutting it out didnt change the genes, only the purported result of those genes...
just as when you fail to address underlying health problems
and treat only symptoms, they come back. all of us here know about this. why if you treat only the outward symptoms of bad genes would those symptoms not come back. ok, sometimes they do after conventional appraoches, but not so always or with the others.
if high blood presure were derived from the inevitable force of your genes, how could a simple chemcial brign it down and hold it there ?
if we try get in the way of genetic forces, those forces dont just give up. they persist. when you break a bone, the natural force of genetics will try to heal it by growing a new connection. if we get in the way for the worse by set it imporperly, it still heals and grows together. we may have to rebreak, but it the force of genetics was not overcome by our input for the worse. why would it be overcome by our input for the better ?
dumb doctors make viruses into a guise for their ignorance... are we explaining factors we dont yet understand by citing genetics?
can you change your eye color ?
can you grow a new finger?
can you reshape your nose if you dontlike it ?
no, you cant, because genetics are not easy to overcome.

The answr of damn doctors aboutgnetic is foolish.
The injuries by toxic effects are passed fromgeneration to generation but are not manifested earlier that 4 generations after.
So the bliming the genetics what those damn heads do not understand is just looking for a another "goat" hunter.

i dont follow your thoughts.
injuries by nature are not passed on, because what we consider injuries are trauma to parts of the body, NOT to chromosomes, right ? ofcourse it is possible to pass on acquired disorders if there is dammage to chromosomes...but how can an injury impair an organ or system of the body AS WELL AS precisely the corresponding gene ?
im missing something else here ?

Mercury damages your enzymes, endocrine system, your DNA and reproductive proteins, so damage may be passed for example in form of birth defects considering there will be no micarriage.
One of "fortunate" mechanisms of mercury injury is that women who pregnant will "suffer" miscarriages as a part of natural defense.
Now you may realize why some woen do have miscariages ... of "unknown ethiology" .... as the experts say (expert: "an a$$hole out of town").

I'm sure there a many causes for carpel tunnel syndrome. Be it vascular or neurological or structural.
On the structural side I thought that for whatever reason it may be that there was a decrease in the amount of space that the nerves have (maybe from stress injury or misalignment of bones). Many MDs in todays world try to make more room in the joint area there by severing the major ligament to allow more room for the nerves to travel though. While this procedure may work I would opt for a more conservative route then this surgery at first ... ie chiropractic (by someone that is versed in treating carpel tunnel syndrome or having physical therapy done or various herbs etc ...)
